Bryant's Electrical Service

Review: Bryant [redacted]al Services was subcontracted through [redacted] whom I hired for a home renovation. Bryant did not complete two jobs. I hired [redacted], LLC to finish these two jobs. One was installing my gas logs. [redacted] found that Bryant had left my gas boiler system (that supplies my heat) gas line completely disconnected and the gas stove he connected this summer, the gas line from the outside was directly connected to gas stove top. It should have been connected to boiler. The gas line being directly connected to my gas stove top was a dangerous situation. Too much gas was going directly to the stove. Bryant also connected the wrong kind of line to bring the gas into the gas logs. [redacted] had to uninstall that line then install new copper lines (3/8") and gas cutoff valve. Bryant left my gas heat completely disconnected, had improperly connected the gas stove and then hooked up the wrong kind of line to hook up the gas logs which he never completed. Second, problem was he never installed the doorbell. He told me to buy a doorbell that had a transformer which I did. It appeared that he had the doorbell ready for installation but when [redacted] went to install the doorbell, he discovered (after 3 hours of troubleshooting) that the low voltage wire that connects to doorbell button was stubbed in the brick was cut and was covered up by Bryant. Also found that the wire in the ceiling between floor had been cut or removed and not replaced or repaired by Bryant. We abandoned installing the doorbell, since it would mean pulling all new wire.Desired Settlement: I'd like for Bryant to acknowledge this situation. I can't imagine any professional doing such shoddy work. Bryant knew the condition he was leaving things. He requested payment on everything minus these two jobs, but indicated that he would complete them. I contacted him via phone and [redacted] contractor was to contact him to have him finish the job. He never responded. He left my house without heat for the winter, with gas coming in way to strong for the stove top which could have created a very dangerous situation (I have children ages 19 months to 19 years in my house) and stubbed in a piece of cut wire for a doorbell. When [redacted] took out the concrete holding the wire it literally fell to the ground. It was no more than 5 inches in length.
