Bryer's Asphalt Seal Coating Reviews (4)

Very well [redacted], here it is with the picture attachments that should be duly noted.  Thank you,[redacted]My Rejection of Business Response, with Exhibit Attachments:On July 5th I texted Chasity B[redacted] (Bryer’s Asphalt Seal Coating) about the serious problem I had with the rubber crack filler (hot tar) she applied to my driveway and I sent her "Exhibit 1 First Gaping Hole" picture displaying how the hot tar that she applied on my parking pad on June 22, 2015 had adhered onto my tire and left a gaping hole on my parking pad.  (I had waited 4 days to park on my parking pad, twice as long as she recommended).  In the text I sent her (there was never a real time telephone discussion with her after June 22nd), she replied “Well at this point I can't do anything to change it.  Its been sealed over."  I then texted her (and I still have the texts to prove our conversation), “I can’t tell you how to do your job, but I think you poured it too heavy and it should have been brushed out; or maybe it was because it rained and it wasn’t dry enough. IDK.  I would like you to come out and look at it.” It should be noted, I had to have the tar removed from of my tire. The very next morning (July 6th) when I backed out off my parking pad another chunk came off on my tire and another gaping hole was left on my driveway. Exhibit 2 (Eleven days after the job was done). I then called her and when she didn't pick up the phone I left her a voicemail, “Another chunk just came off on my tire!  You come over tonight and scrape the rubber off my driveway, please!” She sent a text reply back stating, “I can’t do that. We settled on $75”. It should be noted again that I had to have the tar removed from of my tire. In conclusion, she never came out to look at the driveway.  There was a breach of contract because she did not honor the one year guarantee of client satisfaction. Also, her shoddy work caused ancillary damage that also needed repaired. Regards, [redacted]

[redacted] contacted me in the evening of
rgb(204, 204, 204);">july 5th by voice mail about rubber coming off her driveway. I called her as soon as I heard and offered full refund and to come take a look to see what could be done. She said half would be enough instead of full refund. Am of next day she called to confirm my coming out. I had a job to do an assured her I would be there right after. By lunch time of same day she had blown up my voicemail and texts yelling at me saying she parked in the same spot that was the problem and it got worse! She didn't give me a chance to even get there and threatened me with law enforcement. So then I just mailed her $75.00 that she agreed on. If she had just waited it all would have been fixed and she got half back.

Very well ***, here it is with the picture attachments that should be duly noted.  Thank you,

Review: On June 22, 2015 I hired Chasity B[redacted] (Bryer's Asphalt Seal Coating, to fill cracks and seal coat my 20' x 20' parking pad for $150.00. In one location (approximately a 4 by 4 square) she melted hot rubber to seal cracks. After finishing she suggested I wait two days to drive on it. I waited four days (twice as long as she suggested) before driving on it. When I did drive on it on the fifth day the rubber came off in clumps and adhered to my tire, embedding in the tread, this happened twice before I finally had to stop driving on it! I had to have a friend dig out the rubber clumps on my tire with a screw driver and rub gasoline to remove it from my tire.I contacted Chasity B[redacted] on July 5, 2015 with my complaint and even sent her pictures of the holes in my driveway and the rubber gunk on my tires and asked her to come out to fix the problem. She said Well at this point I cant do anything to change it. Its sealed over. She had initially told me her work was guaranteed for a year (that was one of the stipulations of me hiring her for the job). ). She offered to give me half of my money back and she refunded to me via a money gram $75.I had another asphalt seal coating company come out on July 11, 2015 and they gave me an estimate of $200. $100 to remove the 4' by 4' rubber mess and another $100 to seal coat the pad again. I messaged this estimate to Chasity and asked her to send me an additional $125.00 to fix this problem without a response.Desired Settlement: I think it is only fair for Chasity to honor her one year warranty. Since she does not want to fix the problem, then she should reimburse me an additional $75.00 to help defray the cost to fix the problem by a third party. Thank you for your assistance in helping me resolve this complaint.
