The apartment manager, [redacted], has horrible customer service skills. I was looking to rent an open unit and had met with her to fill out applications which required a non-refundable 20$ application fee for each adult in the household. After securing a money order for 40$ I proceeded to call to find out who to make the money order for as well as to schedule a time to drop off the applications. I called twice with no answer, and on the third attempt left a voice mail which was never returned. Since it was a Friday I figured I would just go there during normal business hours on Monday (she is an on-site apartment manager and her office is attached to her rental unit). When I arrived on Monday the sign on the door read , "Come in, Open!", and the door was locked. I called again and got no reply to my voice mail and returned the following day to which a sign was posted reading,"The office will be closed and will reopen at 9am tomorrow". I arrived the next day at 9am to find her sitting at the desk in her office screening her calls through voice mail while doing absolutely nothing. When I spoke with [redacted] told me the unit that I was interested in already had someone whose application was being processed and [redacted] would let me know by the end of the business day if it was still available. [redacted] also told me that I could still turn in my applications to which I told her no. Mind you, had I turned them in I would have been forfeiting my 40$ because as I mentioned earlier the fees were non-refundable. [redacted] never did call back to let me know if the apartment was still available.

I'm not even sure if I could keep my horrible experiance with Colonial Court Apartments this last year at a minimum. It has been extreemly devistating and would not have even considered moving there had I known how bad it was going to be. consistantly from time of move in date to current. no question it is a health and safety hazord to reside there and have 4 inches thick of documentation from key, pivital entities to support the fact. the persons left in charge of managing these complexes are substandard, rude, unproductive, an have no problem leaving any tenant in harms way. there is a major lack of management at all and bandaids put over major problems in order to simply pass inspections. It is almost impossible for anybody to stop and listen and get some kind of accountability to take place. key word is almost. I will continue to be the voice till I find a solution to holding managers and landlord in this situation accountable to the damage done to me and those others already residing or future people who consider residing on the property. please becarefull the only way to find out most times is to find out for yourself and your already in a horrible surrounding and owner nor employers of owner care in fact know about it beforehand. there should be extensive screening done to these type of landlords however the landlords screen tenants then house them in harms way. i'm not sure how there can be such a lack of conscience and these people sleep well at night. the worst part is they are supposed to be held accountable and are responsible for following rules and regulations put in place to prevent this very thing, obviously not inforced. I will force their hand I dont take this lightly
