Review: On 7/29/14 I purchased 2 pr. of earrings @ $1.99 ea. from BSW. There were no signs in or around the jewelry section or the check-out counter indicating that jewelry was non-returnable. However, the earrings did not quite match my outfits, etc., so I decided to return them. I skimmed over the back of the receipt for return info and saw the following: "No return/exchange on the following items: wigs, hairpieces, liquid items,..." I then skipped down to: "Must have receipt..." "Return must be made within 5 days..." "Items must be in original condition, unused...". I returned back to the store on 8/2 and requested a refund. I was informed that there were no returns on jewelry. As there were still no signs displayed in the store, it was pointed out to me that the info was on the back of the receipt, which I had obviously over-looked. I then left.
I later came to the conclusion that it was an unfair practice to not receive the return policy info until AFTER the purchase was made, so I went back to the store on 8/6/14. I spoke w/the same person as previously (asian male who seems to be the store manager and/or owner) and pointed out the lack of signs and conspicuos policy info and asked him to re-consider my request, especially as it was only 4 bucks, and all other requirements had been met. He adamantly refused (not even offering store credit) and stated there was nothing wrong with the way he was conducting business. I informed him that I would be contacting the Revdex.com, etc to file an official complaint.Desired Settlement: To have an official determination as to whether or not he is in violation of unfair business practices.

Resolution clarification:
I would like to be able to return the unused receipted items to the store for a full refund of $3.98 + tax. HOWEVER, my MAIN OBJECTIVE is to have the store post their return policy conspicuously - so the customer can be made aware ahead of time - that their are no returns on certain items. Currently, that is not known until AFTER the items are purchased - via the receipt.
