WHO rated him the highest in New York State, especially when they are on NYS Attorney Generals Consumer Protections and Fraud Department's watch list. Many of the 5 star reviews on this site seem phoney.
[From BuildZoom: Their BuildZoom score of 0 does not rank in the top 50% of New York contractors. If you are thinking of hiring Btpoxycrete, we recommend double-checking their license status with the license board and using our bidding system to get competitive quotes.]
Check RevDex.com for rating (F -and you cannot pay BBB for a better rating as state by Tom Winarski), check complaints and open suits before making a decision. Check Yelp. Also check Erie County Clerks File (ecclerk.erie.gov), for 5 newer suits won against BT Poxycrete . Seems to have an excuse for everything.
Owner says this is fake, well just check , he is also the one who was on the local Channel 2 news for $20,000 bad installation in local Veterinary's complex. As can be seen on channel 2 video on line. The Wholesaler/Vendor of epoxy products verified bad prep and install in this video.
If you notice in reviews that they compliment a gentleman name Richie that was the real artist and professional who is no longer apart of BT Poxycrete and has his own shop out of Angola, NY called Richie's Countertops and design. Have no idea about HGTV liking this company in particular, a person can say anything without proof. Check & google for you own decision.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Thomas told us on our initial visit we could pick any edge and color. He told us to go online and pick an edge and go to granite stores to look at colors. We told Thomas at that time we wanted to do an undermount wink and he told us they would do the sink for $100. He charged $200 to bring the counter out 2 inches.  Said both were no problem and was part of the $3700. Upon arrival Rich said Thomas was incorrect and did not give us the right information and he would have to cut out the counter and rebuild. My wife Jill asked about cost and was told it was Thomas’s fault and they would cover the cost. The comment about my family keeping their fingers out of concrete is incorrect. No one touched concrete at any time. We only touched the epoxy the Sunday after it was poured. And it scratched to the touch. The coloring process only took so long because what there were doing did not match the colors of the pictures we provided.  And Rich welcomed the input. We are ok with the color. What we are not ok with is:The outright falsity that there is a finger print on the bathroom counter. Pictures are provided on this. The epoxy was never spread to the edge and is the fault of BTPoxycreteThe slice in the top of my dishwasher that follows the count out of the counter and the chipping occurring on the same edge. Picture is attachedThe ripped floor in two spots. That fridge was pulled directly onto a piece of plywood by myself and my wife. The only time it was ever moved was when Rich moved it to drill the pilot hole under the sink and when a Thomas and Rich ripped the floor putting the fridge in place. And most importantly his bad epoxy is bubbling through the epoxy they poured over the 1st pour. There are tacky spots on the edge closest to the stove and sticky bubbles coming through on the surface also.  As far as his references, this means nothing to us. He botched this job and it is costing me in the end. My wife and I stand by our original resolution. Here it is 12/17/17 and I still have a kitchen counter I can’t put anything on and a bathroom with no sink until I get BTPoxycretes mistakes fixed.

Tell us why here...[redacted] contacted us in October and wanted his counters done. Upon Our initial consultation I explained that the edging we can do is only over the pre-existing Edge of the current countertops as we do a decorative overlay. We simply don't offer any different edging as it's just not...

possible. The first day we arrived [redacted] and his wife demand that we remove the old countertop and build them a new one because their new sink. This was work that in the contract is additional cost and will be on the final bill is that was not part of the agreement. After the construction process we began to lay concrete down. [redacted], his wife and kids could not keep their fingers out of it from day one  as we explicitly told them it will ruin it. Once we got to the coloring phase we had to change the design six times because they just couldn't make up their mind. When it came time to lay the epoxy down yes the initial batch was a bad batch of epoxy that was mixed poorly from the distributor. This is something that was out of our control. We tried to explain to [redacted] that before we just lay more bad product down we need to make sure that we have good product. [redacted] didn't want to hear that.  we tried to remedy the situation and it didn't work. We went to get brand new epoxy and we spread it over the bathroom and one kitchen counter.  I took pictures and then we left.  The bathroom edge [redacted] is referring to the epoxy not covering an edgeis a clear-cut fingerprint pushing the epoxy back. The floor being ripped was done by him when he initially tried to move his fridge out by himself.  the marks were made by somebody pulling each angle of the fridge out in a separate way. I have pictures and it clearly is impossible for us to have done that.  I can furnish over a hundred references as we always do nothing short of perfection.
