BTW Kennels

I purchased the last remaining Vizsla puppy that the prior reviewer mentioned 6/2019. We were assured he was healthy and had all of his shots, de-wormed etc. We did meet the puppies parents and the mother seemed "sad" and the puppy was scared and abnormally skinny which we didn't realize at the time since the breed is normally thin. We got the puppy home and found out he had fleas. Then later that day we noticed blood and worms in his stool. I contacted the "breeder" and was informed that a cat must of jumped over the fence and infected the dog with worms and fleas. It was also brought to our attention months later that this breeder lost their AKC rating in Feb 2019. I contacted the other owners who purchased Vizslas from the same litter and they told me that their puppies had similar issues with worms and other problems.

As 12/18/19 the Bedford County Humane Society has taken possession of all of their GSPs, Weimaraners & Vizslas for inhumane conditions.

I recently purchased a Vizsla puppy form BTW Kennels at 188 Cunningham Drive in Hyndman, PA 15545; www.btwkennels.com According to them, they are AKC registered and I filled out paperwork there to register our male pup, but now that I am looking, I don’t see them on the AKC site. I have contacted them to verify if they are even legal or if they are falsifying information

The male that I purchased appeared to be in good health. They provided his immunization records, a certificate of health inspection from their vet stating that the animal was free of any communicable diseases and sound. They also provide a 5 year health guarantee against hips/elbows/eyes/cardiac. Upon getting my puppy home to my parents house in MD, the puppy had diarrhea. I contacted Rachel and Robert P of BTW and they told me it was just an adjustment phase. I did question at that time via text if they had recently wormed the puppy again; Rachel said no they had done two worming cycles in July and that they were documented in the material provided. The puppy continued to worsen. Not wanting to eat or drink unless really almost forced. I reached out to her and her husband and asked that we meet at their vet that provided the health guarantee in Bedford, PA. There was no response from the husband or the wife. I had to take the puppy to my parents vet. The puppy was diagnosed with (3) types of parasites all transferable to humans. So the certificate of health from the vet stating that the puppy was found to be free of communicable disease was a lie. The puppy had coccidia, round and hook worms. I let them know that the dog was very ill and had the (3) parasites and they should check the last remaining puppy. I also forwarded a copy of the vet bill $296.47. Rachel responded and said all puppies get worms and that is the absolute last I have heard from either of them. They supposedly vaccinated him with “strongid-t” on July 6 and
