The Groupon offer was not running at the time of the patient's original consultation and the fine print clearly states that it is only valid if presented at the first visit Even though the Groupon was purchased late, we granted use of the Groupon and the patient was given the full $

My daughters were seen by Bubon & Associates for an expander and braces. They quoted a certain dollar amount for the services offered and that quote was split between my ex-husband and I. I paid for my half of the dollar amount in cash. I left the position that had insurance on it and they began charging money. I set up a payment plan with them and tried to log into pay the amount set up, but wasn't able to log into the system to do so. I requested a password reset several times, but it never reset. The business then contacted my ex-husband telling him of the details of my account though my account was in my name only and I did not give authorization of this. They never contacted me to talk to me about the bills. My ex-husband then made an appointment for my daughters to be seen by them again, which I called to cancel (twice) and told them I do not approve of any work done on my daughters as I do have legal custody of them. They disregarded my messages, did not return my calls and completed work on my daughters without my consent.

Review: I went to Bubon Orthodontics Muskego on 04/19/2016. This was the day I was to get my full set of braces placed on. Unfortunately through miscommunication and inconsistent, inaccurate information I did not. Basically when I went to the Mayfair location they gave me a quote with a down payment of $451.00. I was attempting to aim at a payment for lower the 100.00 per month. So at [redacted] re-ran the number is I put $1000.00 down. At that time I asked [redacted] if I decided to go back to what was originally off would that is ok. [redacted] informed me one I got to Muskego and change my mind about the payment it would not be a problem. The complaint is not with Mayfair or [redacted] it’s with the Muskego office. As well as whomever create the payment plan options. Muskego office receptionists are rude, point blank (the one who assisted me). The receptionist argued with me regarding the down payment for $451.00, when I advised that was the down payment I intended on going with. I also asked since I was applying the groupon discount of $1200.00 the calculation of the repayment should be recalculated? The receptionist indicated no, the down payment remains the same, and she would have to recalculate the figures and have it mailed to me. Which is unacceptable if you want someone to make a payment and down payment or on repayment plan. Then you need to supply that information before taking any payments. So I was uncomfortable. Not to mention once I advised the receptionist of the groupon, they began to take always already added discounts. Like for xrays I had they removed the $250.00. I feel like that a scam bc it should have been disclosed on the groupon-coupon. Not to mention I have a voice mail from the franking location indicating that I would still get all my discounts in addition to the groupon. When I was prepared to make my down payment using care credit they advised I had to spend $1000.00. Under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Dodd-Frank was signed into law in December 2010. A minimum dollar amount for accepting credit/charge cards for payment as long as the minimum is the same for all credit card issuers and PCNs, and isn't more than $10. The repayment plans they off does not support an explanation on to who the down payment is calculated and why. For example what calculation did you enter to get the down payment of the repayment plan? No one at any clinic could provide a valid answer. No one could answer this question if your balance due decreased from your prior repayment plan, why is the down payment still so high? What formula are you using to calculate the repayment plans? My appointment was cancelled causing an delay of getting the braces on. I spoke with a [redacted], at the start of our conversation she was very rude and yelling I had to pretty much asked her to refrain from it. During our phone conversation she sounded very irritated and bother, but was attempt to help me. [redacted] could not get me in a sooner or same day appointment. Consider I drove all the way to a different city. I feel like the reason for the appointment was cancelled bc the receptionist are very unknowledgeable of a lot. I spent about 30 mins on the phone with [redacted] while she explain and break down my account. Which the receptionist should of done and correct the error.Desired Settlement: The $250.00 credit should be given back. It seem like once they knew of the groupon discount credit was talking off.

I need a percentage calculation on you the down payment is calculated on my repayment plan and why.

Make my intial down payment using care credit.

An appointment sooner the May 10,2016

Also better trainer should be provided to the individual who work at the front desk. They are very unknowledgeable in much aspect and provide a lot inaccurate inconsistent information. They receptionist in Muskego was not customer service eccentric at all.

The Groupon offer was not running at the time of the patient's original consultation and the fine print clearly states that it is only valid if presented at the first visit. Even though the Groupon was purchased late, we granted use of the Groupon and the patient was given the full $1200 discount. In addition, she also received a $1000 insurance discount. The $250 discount that the patient is referring to was offered if the patient were to bring in her records from a different office. The patient did not bring in records so we had to take our own records which made the discount offered null and void. [redacted] did not want to, or was not prepared to, make a down payment at her first visit even though her paperwork states , therefore we were not able to start her treatment that day. In regards to the Care Credit situation, Care Credit is not a credit card and our policy is that we do not use them as an outside financing company for less than $1000 balances. The patient would definitely have been able to make the $451 down payment on a credit card if she wanted. To address the words said in regards to our staff, our front desk is very well versed in how to create payment plans and our policy is that we are not able to start treatment without a down payment by the patient. [redacted] did not yell once, in any conversation with the patient, and her objective was to come to an agreement pleasing to both parties. It seems that the treatment fee set by [redacted] and the payment plan presented by [redacted] were agreeable to the patient because she has since started treatment in our Muskego office.
