Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Regards,
*** ***Since the last communication on 10/27/new information has come to my attention. It is important that you read the previous communications to fully understand this entire situation. I have taken my boat to a new shop for them to complete and fix the boat engine. What was discovered is extremely alarming and infuriating.Blake at Bubz Boat Stor diagnosed my boat engine as being “blown” due to water intrusion into multiple cylinders. There was never a problem with the old engine. The engine was never blown! A gear in the upper drive sheared off and locked up the drive, thus preventing the engine from turning. The new shop diagnosed this in a matter of minutes. They also informed me that this should have been one of the first things looked at when diagnosing the problem. Obviously, Blake did not. Because of Blake’s incompetence, I replaced a perfectly good engine. I spent $3,on a new engine that I did not need. Blake charged me $3,and lied to me for months about the progress of the repair (see previous communication), still never completing the repair. Blake likes to speak of his quality of work. I would like to share some things that were discovered by the new shop. Virtually every wire on the engine was incorrect. It took them hrs just to correct the wiring. The distributor was placed on the engine incorrectly. There were new spark plugs and old broken spark plugs. Blake literally slid the spark plug wire over the stub of the broken spark plugs! There are spacers behind some of the accessories used to align the serpentine belt. Instead of the spacer, Blake stacked a bunch of different sized washers together to use as a spacer. Needless to say, the belt and accessories were not properly aligned. There are multiple water hoses used to cool the engine. Several of these water hoses were missing the hose clamps. Had this not been discovered the water pressure would have caused these hoses to separate and spray hot water inside the engine bay.The engine was out of aliment by about inches. Standard allotment is 15/1000th of an inch.He did not install the dipstick or dipstick tube.It appears that Blake tried to maneuver the engine by jamming a 2xunder the oil pan to use as a lever. This caved in the oil pan causing the crank shaft to hit the damaged oil pan. The engine had to be removed from the boat and I had to buy a new oil pan. The exact cause of the damage is unknow, but I highly doubt Blake is going to tell us how it happened. I can provide pictures of the damaged oil pan.Blake charged me $for a computer he says he reprogrammed. It is not reprogrammed. I have to pay $again for this to be reprogrammed. Blake knew he never programmed the computer. He never started (or was capable of starting) the engine. So why did he tell me it was programmed when he knew it was not? Why did he charge me $800?It is overwhelmingly evident that Blake did not have anywhere near the 40+ hours that he stated into this repair. I can provide documentation of all the above from the new repair shop upon request.Let’s look at this situation. Due to Blake’s incompetence / misdiagnosis, I paid $3,for an engine that was never needed. I paid Blake $3,to install an engine I did not need. A task Blake never even came close to completing after months! I have to pay the new shop another $3,to fix all the things Blake screwed up or damaged and for missing parts. I am $10,into a repair that was never needed. My boat was given back to me in far worse shape than when I dropped it off. My question is, what other business would bill their customer for such gross incompetence? What other business screws up this bad and makes no effort to reimburse or rectify the situation? In my original Revdex.com dispute resolution, I had asked that Blake reimburse me $2,of the $3,that I paid him. Given the new and additional information I would like to revise my request. I would like $9,reimbursed to me. This equates to Blake returning the $3,I paid him for his incompetent and catastrophically wrong diagnosis, $3,to the new shop for the damage, parts, and labor to correct his poor craftsmanship and $3,for the cost of the engine I did not need. A man or a business with any integrity would voluntarily rectify this situation

Mr*** has taken this incredibly too far. He has been a long time customer that has been taking his boat to another marina for 3yrs now, decided to bring it back to me after his engine was not properly winterized. My orignal estwas replace a like motor. He first stated that the old engine from his boat he didnt want for a returnand that he would do whatever it took to bring his total down as low as I could make itI allowed him to personally order his engine after he was not happy with my local retailers priceHe had it shipped to my business, and did not order the same engine that was in blown. Tho it was a 'Like' engine it did not have a computer / ecm with it. After spending several hours to review all of the parts with possibilities Mr*** made the decision to attempt to match the new engine with the old partsTo make a long story short, he purchased a more powerful engine, that did not match up with the existing parts that were from his old engine. I took me far time and required far more detail oriented work than I had time for. I attempted to do the best that I could for Mr***, had spent hours on the pone with him explaining all of the options, with details as to how, and why. He had visited my business several times to go over and discuss the options, and see the product as it was being completed. I do admit that the project had taken me far longer than I originally planned onI did not have to time to dedicate what it took to properly build this project, and reminded him of that several timesI try to do the best that I could with him on his high performance build, while go through a personal issue that was exhausting to say the least. I admit that I was not exactly honest with Mr*** as to what was going on in my personal lifeI continued delay the delivery time of his project not only due to issues with his boat, but due to my highly stressful issues at home. I was not able to focus on his engine build because of my issues, and explained that I wouldnt to put together a project like that unless it was done right. shorty before Mr*** was to have his boat delivered he explained that he wanted his old engine returned as well. The old engine from Mr*** that I had already disassembled he wanted assembled and returned to himHour by hour I continued to invest more time than originally estimated. Mr*** seemed to be understanding about timeliness with with me, and I did relay that I was having issues that deprived me of sleep, concentration, and peace of mindI attempted to deliver his boat to him, but was unable to do so more than onceI have invested uncharged time to attempt to make up for the time that he has lostI may have not been completely honest that my personal life was heavily interfering with my business, but as far as me being some kind of scam artist....... look at the big picture here: Mr *** now has a high performance engine that would have cost him roughly $5500-for the engine alone plus another company would have required a core charge of roughly $500, and Installation of $1800-Now installed in his boat for a total of $to me for labor plus $for the cost of the engineI am not a high performance shop, I only do specialty builds for myself and very close customers. Mr*** has gotten the best deal that he could with me by attempting to take advantage of me, and have me discount my labor that I had in the projectI will not discount the time that I have spent on his project or reduce my time that I have involved any more than I already haveI understand that he thinks that this job should've been done quicker, I know that it was completed with same attention to detail that a high performance shop would have investedHe was left hosting events without his boat that he had scheduled to be on his boatI was not able to get the boat to him in time for these events, and I imagine the disapointment

This is in regards to case ID # ***. The Revdex.com incorrectly has the business labeled as "*** *** ***". This is the same owner / operator, however that business has been shut down by the state for unscrupulous actions The Correct Business Name and
information is as follows:Business address:Bubz Boat StorOld Meridian St.Carmel, IN 46032 Owner Mailing Address:*** ** *** *** ** *** Phone: [email protected] I have noticed that the owner has not responded to the original Revdex.com complaint. My guess is that he is not going to because the complaint is filed against a business that is not longer in business. I need the complaint filed against "Bubz Boat Stor" NOT "*** *** ***". Please let me know when this has been corrected. Thank You, *** ***
