Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
Regards,
The above referenced complaint has not been addressed to our satisfaction. We were waiting to respond and let you all know if the response was satisfactory based on whether the owner completed the work on the schedule he promised. The work is not complete as promised and there are further issues. Please reopen this complaint and advise if there are further steps we need to take. I am hoping to resolve these issues with the owner this week, but feel that we need to keep this complaint open until it is completed. Thanks in advance

I have reviewed the response made by the business
in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me Sent: Tuesday, December 13, 3:PM Subject: Revdex.com Complaint ID *** The above complaint was closed on 11/by Revdex.com as unresolved. After talking with an attorney, I reached out to Buccaneer Construction, made a counter offer and the contractor accepted the settlement amount Our attorney has agreed to put legal action on hold, provided Buccaneer follows through with the resolution, which is simply three payments on 12/13, 1/and 2/to total $7500. He (Buccaneer Construction) has now requested that I contact Revdex.com to show the complaint as resolved before sending funds. (He actually asked that it be removed, but I’m not sure that can be done).*** ***

The documentation (emails) we have with the architect about the other problem we had on this project that he fails to mention, completely discredits his statementHow in those weeks of emails about problems he was buying materials for a project that never had a final architect plan is impossible A project is suppose to have a Final approved set of architect plans before a contract or estimate are done, we hired what we thought was a professional and had used in the past This project could not be executed in the scope of this contractThe architect questioned me several times, "how does *** *** have a estimate and contract with NOTHING FINAL from me?" I said well I guess he knows his business and the architect said "no it does not work like that".The ***'s as well have hired an attorney

Sent: Tuesday, November 15, 2016 2:50 PM Subject: [redacted] # [redacted] Dispute Resolution Team, Please find attached response to claim # [redacted] Kind Regards, Terry [redacted] Buccaneer Construction,LLC 281.291.7087

Buccaneer construction executed a valid contract on [redacted] signed by both, [redacted] ([redacted]) for construction of a second floor attic addition. Buccanneer had the [redacted]’s contact a designer we recommended to draw a set of plans for the City of [redacted] and...

Engineering purposes.
More than three weeks went by and Buccanneer ordered materials and set work schedules for six weeks in late [redacted]. This spot in our schedule was confirmed at the time of signing the Contract Agreement. All projects signed after those dates were pushed further out on start dates.
The Designer contacted Buccanneer into the third week of plan designs, stating the plans were almost finished and the only change would be a slight elevation in roof at the  [redacted]. This would not have resulted in a Contract up charge.
I was contacted by [redacted], and he advised me that they were having second thoughts about the construction cost and really didn’t have the funds to continue with the project.
We advised him that the Contract was almost 3 ½ weeks into planning and staging and this was difficult to back out of now without penalties.
I told him I would look into what Buccanneer would stand to lose at this point and hours already invested in this project to determine if, any refund would be forth coming, if possible.
The very next day on a  Friday, I received a phone call from [redacted]. [redacted] stating she was sick over being in this contract and that they have decided to buy a new home instead of moving forward with the new construction. I explained the terms of breaking this contract as previously explained to **. [redacted].
The following [redacted] I received another call from [redacted]. [redacted] stating, the designer had  told her the new room could not have a bathroom. At that point I contacted the Designer and he said that was not true and the only changes made to the plans were that of the roof line, and it would need to be raised as previously discussed.
[redacted]. [redacted] then sent three threatening emails/letters for a full refund of over three days threatening to take legal action.
Buccanneer Construction must Honor all legal and Binding Contracts signed, or suffer a breach of Contract Suite.
Buccanneer Construction has turned this matter over to the  offices of  [redacted], [redacted] /[redacted] for resolution with the [redacted]’s.
Buccanneer Construction will be glad to mediate with the [redacted]’s through our lawyer for a settlement.
As the Revdex.com surely understands this is a serious matter for our company and will complete the contract in full if allowed.
The [redacted]’s have been legally served with a letter of demand by our lawyer, [redacted].
If I can be of any further assistance to the Revdex.com, please feel free to contact Buccanneer Construction.

Best Regards,

[redacted]
