Bucchino General Contracting (BGC) received an initial complaint from [redacted] via Revdex.com regarding their ‘Guarantee OR Warranty Issues’ on 12/14/ We responded in a timely manner confirming, as originally stated by the homeowner, that BGC is “in the process of disputing this claim through arbitration with a third party.” Based on this parallel claim BGC responded to [redacted] via Revdex.com requesting further clarification as to what he is looking to accomplish by filing a duplicate complaint with Revdex.com We’ve received [redacted] response submitted 12/28/but it fails to address the question raised in our prior correspondence At this point BGC is still requiring an explanation as to the result [redacted] is hoping for in filing a claim through Revdex.com on an issue that is already being handled by another party
At this time, as stated by the homeowner in his complaint, Bucchino
General Contracting is in the process of disputing this claim through
arbitration with a third party. Thusly
we are not sure what *** *** is looking to accomplish by filing a complaint
through the Revdex.com. If
we could please get
clarification as to his ‘Desired Settlement’ so that we can appropriately
respond to this matter that would be appreciated. We will await further direction via Revdex.com. Thank you
Bought a new home sept 2013, Once the close and the last money was exchanged forget about the word customer service. Does not exist at Bucchino General Contracting.
Complaints began day 1
1-Bad nail pops and paint. Builder promises to fix- I owe you a paint job.
2-Leak in master bathroom- Builder claims condensation/warm day. BS after 2 dozen phone calls and the bucchino round and round or the Bucchino Circus as its called in Manahawkin NJ
I had a reputable contractor fix the problem.
3 Back yard falls into the ocean( most builders start at the bulkhead and work in) my bad trusting the builder no foul here except bad morals
4 Sliding glass door does not work properly. Never did. I understand there are many of his homes like mine. He refuses to repair or too busy. That complaint is 5 years old I'll guess never is accurate.
5 Gas fireplace had leak and live electric next to the gas( I had a reputable repair guy do the Fireplace Store correct) Again the builder would never return the call or no show the appointment.
6 Horrible HVAC design- I corrected.
7 the second floor has a 2" drop because of the framing. Builder refuses to repair or again wait until never.
I will take on this repair as well as the builder is the most unprofessional business person I have ever met. Bad news. The locals knows this guy is bad news so he prays on the tourist trade.
We are preparing to seek legal remedy on the repair invoices from year 1.
Double talk is what this guy is famous for. No quality and no action.

Review: Bucchino GC built a brand new house for my wife and myself. We closed on the purchase April 2015. In July 2015, during a massive rain storm, water came pouring into our house. The water came from multiple locations in the roof as well as through the top of our garage. Water came into our kitchen, laundry room, hallway, bedroom, bathroom and garage. We also filed a claim with the home owner warranty company as the house is brand new.
Bucchino GC initially denied any responsibility for the water and told us to contact our home owners insurance, which we did. Our insurance promptly send a remediation crew to our house to dry everything out. They also send an independent adjuster and made specific recommendations to remedy the issues.
Bucchino GC sent a roofer and made minor repairs to the roof only.
In October another massive rain came and again water entered out house in the same area's. Bucchino GC told us he is not responsible. At this point we had to take matters into our own hands and hired an independent GC to resolve roofing and flashing issues at the water entry points.
Bucchino GC has refused to reimburse us for the money we spent to have the problems resolved. Bucchino GC claims we did not follow protocol yet we have documented e-mails where he refused to honor the new home warranty provided by his company. We are now in the process of going through arbitration to recover the money we spent to protect our home and resolve the water issues.Desired Settlement: My wife an I submitted 2 invoices totaling $7745 for work performed to Bucchino GC. Bucchino GC offered us $4000 and said "we were trying to gouge him". We did not want to have to hire an independent contractor to do the work but we had no choice since Bucchino GC continued to deny responsibility. Now he say's we never game him the chance to do the repairs even though we have proof that he was notified.

I am rejecting this response because: Bucchino GC made an offer to settle the claim which was rejected by us as the offer was about 1/2 of what we had to pay another contractor to resolve the defective workmanship issues. If Bucchino GC wishes to reimburse us for 100% of the expense then we are willing to settle this dispute.

Review: I moved into our new house in May 2014, and Bucchino General Contracting
built the house for us. We have items that Mike B said that he would
fix: All the nails that are pushing out from the sheet rock, 27EA; all the
corners are cracking throughout the house and needs to be re spackled and
repainted. Mr. B said to wait because the house is still settling.
Also, the bedroom door will not close, and a gutter is missing near the
kitchen window. I have been waiting for over 1 year for Bucchino General
Contracting to fix the problems. I have e-mailed and called them every week,
and they just give me lip service. I hope that the Revdex.com can help get Mr.
Mike B out to my house to finish the work that he had been paid for.

Response:
As of August 18th, 2015 it is my understanding that Bucchino General Contracting, LLC (BGC) has contacted and worked with the homeowner - outside of the Revdex.com's resources - to address and rectify the issues mentioned. If there are still, in the homeowner's opinion, items that need our attention please respond as such. I hope to have it confirmed that we have satisfied the homeowners requests and if I am to learn otherwise then BGC will move forward as necessary and ASAP to settle this complaint. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: All that Bucchino contracting did spackel and sand the sheetrock.Mr B was going to call me back 3 week a go but he never call. I been waiting to have the wall fix and painted it be over 1-1/2 years now. Mr B said that I will have tp pay for the painting because it over 1 year but Mr. B never returned call email until the Revdex.com called him on it. Still need a guter and drin pipe and one of the door needs to to shave down. The only way Mr B will come out to finished the work that he was pay in full for is if the Revdex.comof NJ pressure him.

Response:
Yet again (as of August 27th) Bucchino General Contracting believes they have taken the steps to contact the homeowner and correct the issues noted. If there continue to be outstanding items, in the homeowners opinion, then Bucchino General Contracting will need to be advised of those items. Working with Revdex.com as a 'go between' makes it difficult for BGC to follow up after taking steps to solving remaining problems. Therefore we will consider things to be satisfied until we hear otherwise.
