10/17/14Dear ***This is in response to the letter received from you regarding *** *** ***.*** *** brought his vehicle to us for an alignment on 9/19/When the alignment tech went to align the rear of the vehicle it had an eccentric adjustment bolt that was ceased
and rusted fastHe could not adjust the alignment correctlyHe did not break the bolt off as *** *** stated.in order to do the alignment correctly the bolt had to come outHe told *** *** that the bolt may have to be cut out with a torch because it was rusted fast into the bushing, and that he would probably have to replace the bushing and arm assembly costing $*** *** was ok with thatWhile we were waiting the part to be delivered to the shop the next day, the tech worked on the bolt and got it out without damaging the bushing.That saved *** *** $for the part we would have had to replaceAnd because the bolt was rusted and ceased fast is why we could not save the boltThe cost of the bolt was $instead of costing him $Again the alignment tech did not break the bolt off as *** *** stated.As far as us having the vehicle too long, we told him that he could the drive the vehicle for a short period of time without wearing the tiresHe left with the vehicle on Friday and it was his choice to bring the vehicle back on SaturdayHe chose to leave the vehicle at our shop before we checked on a price on parts or to schedule an appointment to get the work doneWhen he dropped the vehicle off we told him that if he needed the vehicle, to call us and we would leave the keys in it and he could pick it upHe told us that he would not need the vehicle and we had talked to him and his wife several times that week and there didn't seem to be a problem.Sincerely, Dan S
