I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The installer says that the glue serves as a moisture barrier however there should have been a proper barrier installed other than just the glueLumber Liquidators agreesThe installer submitted the order an never included or installed a barrierJust the glueI purchased this home on 2/10/There was not any water intrusion problem when I bought the homeThe installer claimed he did a moisture reading before installing the floors and claims there was no elevated moisture level in the concreteThe floor was not installed per manufacturer guide linesI have a statement from Lumber Liquidators stating that after their month investigation and assessment by their investigator who was sent to the property timesI am trying to avoid getting my attorney involved and I'm requesting that Buckeye Flooring the area over the slab at their expenseI have certified documentation and have even been in communication with the CEO of Lumber Liquidators. The improper installation is a factNot a dispute, based off of a thorough investigation of my flooring.

Additional information from the consumer:HelloThis is the conclusion from Lumber LiquidatorsSee the attached pdf'sI have also consulted with different contractors who confirmed that glue is not a proper moisture barrier when laying wood over concrete and a proper moisture barrier should have been installedThere was some water intrusion a long time ago before we bought this house and as a result the previous owner excavated along the south side of the home, installed new drainage and additionally installed an exterior sump pump system This was completed long before we moved in this houseThere is no way that the previous intrusion had any effect on this flooringIn addition, the floor was installed in mid February during an arctic blast that lasted a long timeThe cupping and bowing started within weeks after the installation when the ground was frozenIt does not make ay logical sense to claim that it was drainage related when the ground was frozen solidWe have leaned that concrete ALWAYS hold some moisture and this is the specific reason that a rubber/vinyl moisture barrier is put downI spent over $8,in cash for days of labor and over $22,total on this projectFor that amount of money I would expect that solid bamboo floors would last more than weeks without a problemI am trying to work this out amicably before calling an attorney. Mr*** claims that he has had several contractors out that said that we did notuse a moisture barrier, which would be impossible to know with out taking up thefloor or without knowing how we installed the flooringContractor is a broad termand we are flooring professionals that installed the floor to industry guidelines.Furthermore Lumber Liquidators did a long investigation of the floor and in therereport do not state that we are responsible in fact it states that they found amoisture issue by the foundation which we highlighted in our responseThey alsorecommended a company to help with the issueLumber Liquidators foundimproper draining towards the house as well which likely cause their issue ofcuppingWe only test the inside of the house at the time of insulation Mr.***s for was within the guidelines of moisture for his floor to be installed as wedid a calcium chloride test and moisture read on the concrete and bambooThebamboo was at percent and the concrete was at ten pounds of pressure bothwithin the guidelines to allow it to be laidAfter the flooring was installed moisturegot to a section of the floor and caused damage which is not covered in outinstallation warranty and is an on site issue. The complaint here is that we did not use a moisture barrier, which then caused hisfloor to cupWe did install the moisture barrier and have all the documentation toprove so. Richard D***

bought the moisture barrier. The customer purchased the glue which has the moisture barrier within the glue. The moisture barrier they installed exceeds industry standards. The customer called them and said they were having floor issues after the floor was installed, they went out and looked at it, and explained to him that what was causing the issue was moisture and it wasn't covered under the warranty.  The customer then told the company that they had water problems previously and had paid to have them fixed.
