Buckeye Honda did sell *** *** a jeep Compass on 2/15/It had miles on it. At this mileage it is out of eligibility for our warranty forever program. This vehicle was sold AS IS with no warranty for this reason. After Mr*** did contact Buckeye Honda of his
problem, we agreed to look at the vehicle as a customer one time goodwill to diagnose problemBuckeye Honda found the clutch slave cylinder had failed causing the clutch not to disengage from the transmission. Buckeye Honda then agreed to repair the problem at no cost to the customer. This was thought to just be the replacement of the clutch slave cylinder. After removing the transmission and doing the slave cylinder replacement it was found that the slave cylinder also leaked onto the clutch disc which could not be cleaned off. This meant Buckeye Honda also replaced the clutch disc pressure plate and flywheel to insure a proper repair. After all this replacement when bleeding out the air in the clutch system the master cylinder was found to not bleed properly so Buckeye Honda replaced this too. This was all done at no charge to MrReed. This was a one time goodwill repair. Buckeye Honda did sell this vehicle and it was operating as designed at the time of delivery. Buckeye Honda could not foresee the clutch slave cylinder failure. I believe Buckeye Honda did the right thing in repairing the vehicle at N/C to Mr*** When MR*** picked up his repair vehicle he seemed happy with our resolution.
