I would like to close the complaint I opened involving Buckeye laptopWe have came to a reasonable agreement. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. *** ***

The laptop was brought it for a screen replacement and was working perfectly at pick upA few weeks later (after our warranty had expired) the customer brought the laptop back to our store because the screen was staying black even when the laptop was onWe agreed to take a look at the laptop even
though it was out of warrantyAfter ruling out the screen and cables, our diagnostic showed the issue was caused by a failing motherboard (more specifically a GPU issue)This laptop was used to for gaming and does not have the specifications recommended for gamingStressing a GPU for too long can cause it to failThe customer then said she would send the laptop back to HP since it was still under warrantyAccording to the HP documentation, the customer told HP that she had it repaired by a third party, HP denied the warranty claim due to this fact.We offered to replace the motherboard, at cost, with no additional labor chargesThis laptop was made specifically for Wal-Mart so the motherboard was not availableWe then offered a discount on a laptop we have in stock since we could not source the part.Buckeye Laptop cannot take responsibility for damage we did not causeThe laptop was working great after the repair and started to fail weeks later (outside of our warranty)We would have gladly replaced a faulty screen even after the warranty had expired, but the cause of the black screen was the motherboard/GPU which was explained to the customer before the laptop was sent to HP for warranty repairHP denied this claim because third party repairs void their warranty

I am rejecting this response because:
the statement made by Buckeye laptop is not accurate Half of the information that was listed was never told to me at any time through this ordeal HP did not refuse to repair the computer, by the statement they made the motherboard and the LCD screen is not working properly due to software that the third-part installed They are also leaving out the part that when the computer was initially taken in there was multiple screens that was tried I do believe that there was an error on Buckeye laptops end, and they was aware of it or they wouldn't not have offered to repair the computer for free once the LCD screen has gone black Was never told of a warranty or when the warrantee would expire The computer was purchased, it does not matter what it was used for The bottom line is a computer was taken in for repair within a month then it stopped working When it was taken to the repair shop it was functioning on a external monitor With out them telling me the day I brought it home the computer was not functioning at all That is when I was told that the motherboard had gone out, While in Buckeye laptops possession I do not feel that the company has lived up to the expectations of the repairs and now also cost me to have a non-functioning computer
