Buckeye Stoves Reviews (1)

Attached to this response is a PDF file containing original information that supports the documentation below.  Thank you!!On our first service call on 1/20/17 The reason for our service call was Pilot stays lit but when the thermostat kicks off it won't kick back on again.  They have to...

warm it back up with a torch.  Our results from the service call was......Pilot was too small.  Cleaned out pilot hood and swept stove.  Pilot became normal and stove ran well.  There was nothing written on the work order initially to clean the stove.  Our service technician was on this call for 40 minutes (as indicated on paperwork attached)On 2/1/17 Customer came into our store and purchased 7' of glass gasket and self installed.I don't have documentation that the customer called immediately following the 1/20/17 as indicated on the complaint.  It is my hope that we would have responded before 25 days, which is when the next service call took place. On 2/14/17 Customer called in to schedule a service call, the request from the customer was ........"We performed a service on 1/20/17 - she came in on 2/1/17 and purchased glass gasket, since we were there the unit is producing fumes.  She stated it started to smell about 10 minutes after we left.  She totally disassembled unit and thought it may not be put back together correctly.  Told her if it was our fault no charge, if not we would charge a standard service charge. Results from the service call:   Checked gas pressures 5" water column inlet pressure which is MINIMUM pressure. Flame was very low. No change in outlet pressure when adjusting flame heights 3" WC outlet pressure.
Thermocouple no-load .328 MV
Thermocouple underload .138 MV
Customer was adjusting flame height by shutting off gas valve. Customer was instructed this is not an approved way to adjust the flame height on the stovet. RESULT: Found a vent free heater in the basement tapped in to the gas line close to stove upstairs. House is plumbed with 1/2' gas line. 5 or 6 appliances running off of this 1/2" gas line (our experience is too many gas appliances on 1 line will create/cause low pressure, which is exactly what we are seeing. Instructed customer to have their gas company check pressure to house and plumber to check gas supply lines. IN: 9:00 OUT 9:30 (tHIS SERVICE CALL WE CHARGED $95.00 INSTEAD OF OUR STANDARD $125)
