It was unfortunate to hear about the damage to Ms [redacted] vehicle Ms [redacted] mentioned that it took a “long while” for us to get back to her The issue was reported to us late Tuesday evening Our General Manager called Ms [redacted] on Wednesday to set up an appointment with our Technical Facilities Manager for the next day (Thursday) We then promptly called her to explain our findings After that, she called and left a message for me, which I returned when I got into the office that same afternoon As far as the conversation, I was very polite, however, Ms [redacted] was not happy with the response and apparently took that as being rude.We reviewed the damage claim and we were able to determine that the issue with the tail light was due to the failure of the glue that holds the lens on The glue was actually brittle and flakingBecause of that, the lens was delaminating from the body of the tail light assembly, causing it to stick out from the rear of the vehicle The failure of the glue was a pre-existing condition that caused the issue at the wash The car wash did not cause the problem This is very similar to damage that could occur to a vehicle when metal is rusted or corrodedIn that situation, parts could come loose from the body of a car, again due to pre-existing conditions Unfortunately, like all car washes, we cannot be responsible for any damages due to pre-existing conditions of a vehicle when it enters the wash Each of our locations has a sign at the entrance explaining this policy.Sincerely,Jeffrey ***

Mr [redacted] came to the car wash complaining of scratches on his vehicle He pointed out a number of scratches that he said were definitely caused by the car wash We looked at most of those areas, and found the scratches to actually be road film that rubbed off the car with just a little effort After showing him that, he pointed to different areasMr [redacted] also pointed out a deep scratch on the front fender of his vehicle That scratch was next to a dent that we reviewed with Mr [redacted] He agreed that the dent could not be caused by the wash process We use soft cloth technology in our wash process I am not certain why Mr [redacted] believes we are a Touch Free wash We do not advertise nor have we ever promoted our wash process as being touch free There were marks and scratches all over the vehicle We washed hundreds of cars at that location on that day No other issues were reported to us Since most of the marks on the vehicle were actually road film, another was part of a dent, and there were marks all over the vehicle of all different types, going in different directions, and different depths, it is obvious that those blemishes were already on the vehicle prior to visiting the car wash

We certainly understand Ms [redacted] frustration Buckmans Car Wash always strives to provide customer satisfaction In the rare event that vehicle damage is caused by the car wash, we always take care of itIn this case, the damage was due to the failure of the glue on the tail light lens The car wash did not cause the glue to fail, and for that reason is considered a pre-existing conditionJust touching a tail light would not cause it to fall off unless it was already compromisedAs an accommodation, we would be happy to install the light for Ms [redacted] if she purchases it

It was unfortunate to hear about the damage to Ms*** vehicle. Ms*** mentioned that it took a “long while” for us to get back to her. The issue was reported to us late Tuesday evening. Our General Manager called Ms*** on Wednesday to set up an
appointment with our Technical Facilities Manager for the next day (Thursday). We then promptly called her to explain our findings. After that, she called and left a message for me, which I returned when I got into the office that same afternoon As far as the conversation, I was very polite, however, Ms*** was not happy with the response and apparently took that as being rude.We reviewed the damage claim and we were able to determine that the issue with the tail light was due to the failure of the glue that holds the lens on. The glue was actually brittle and flakingBecause of that, the lens was delaminating from the body of the tail light assembly, causing it to stick out from the rear of the vehicle. The failure of the glue was a pre-existing condition that caused the issue at the wash. The car wash did not cause the problem. This is very similar to damage that could occur to a vehicle when metal is rusted or corrodedIn that situation, parts could come loose from the body of a car, again due to pre-existing conditions. Unfortunately, like all car washes, we cannot be responsible for any damages due to pre-existing conditions of a vehicle when it enters the wash. Each of our locations has a sign at the entrance explaining this policy.Sincerely,Jeffrey ***

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Regards, *** ***
I accept the accommidation if I'm going to pay for the part and Buckmans pay for the installation by BMWSo that way it's gets done by the dealership and they would take responsibility if something happens after the factBuckmans can call Bmw to see how much the installation would cost which I'm assuming nothing compared to the part I'm willing to pay forThis will seal the deal and I could move on from this situation

Mr*** came to the car wash complaining of scratches on
his vehicle. He pointed out a number of
scratches that he said were definitely caused by the car wash. We looked at most of those areas, and found
the scratches to actually be road film that rubbed off the car with just
a
little effort. After showing him that,
he pointed to different areasMr*** also pointed out a deep scratch on
the front fender of his vehicle. That
scratch was next to a dent that we reviewed with Mr***. He agreed that the
dent could not be caused by the wash process.
We use soft cloth technology in our wash process. I am not certain why Mr*** believes we
are a Touch Free wash. We do not
advertise nor have we ever promoted our wash process as being touch free. There were marks and scratches all over the
vehicle. We washed hundreds of cars at
that location on that day. No other
issues were reported to us. Since most
of the marks on the vehicle were actually road film, another was part of a
dent, and there were marks all over the vehicle of all different types, going
in different directions, and different depths, it is obvious that those
blemishes were already on the vehicle prior to visiting the car wash
