BCT rarely calls if they are going to be late to pick you up, which is quite oftenWhen they drop you off late at an appt, the driver does NOT let dispatch know that you were dropped off late and it is your job to call the reservation line to request a new pick up timeI find this ridiculous because the tablet that details pick ups and drop offs shows when a driver is behindWhy the system doesn't know this and alert dispatch is beyond ridiculousToday, I was waiting since 8:AM to be picked up for a AM apptThe driver did not arrive until 10:AM and took me on a minute/mile excursion out of the way in the opposite direction that I was going, only to come back within a mile of my house to take me to an appt less than miles awayI arrived minutes late (at 10:AM) for my AM apptNow here's the really messed up partThe driver needs more training to say the leastHe spent way too much time looking at the map on the tablet while driving and swerving on the roadHe missed the driveway for the person being dropped off after I was picked up, and then backed up on a busy highway to the driveway, instead of turning around at an appropriate locationHe had to back up and pull forward several times on the busy highway to get into the driveway, tooVery dangerous in a handicap busThe driver also was speeding most of the way, at one point going mph in a mph zoneIt seems like he hit every pot hole and bump while going way too fast and the women in a wheelchair in the back of the bus kept crying out in pain and asking the driver to slow downHe never once apologized or slowed down, let alone stop to see if she was OKDespicable!
After being dropped off at 10:AM, my return pick up driver arrived at 11:AMI missed the call from BCT that the driver was there to pick me up (I heard the VM later), but I knew it was BCT who calledI walked as quickly as I could to the handicap entrance where I am supposed to be dropped off and picked up, but no one was thereI then walked up the hill outside to the front of the building and told the driver the situationI asked him to let BCT know the situation and he instructed me to call the reservation lineI called and let the reservationist know the situation and requested an 11:AM pickupI arrived at the handicap entrance at 11:AM for my return ride, but it did not get there, so I walked up hill to the front entrance at 11:AM to see if they were waiting up thereStill nothingNot all that unusualI waited and I called BCT reservation line at 12:PM and was told that the driver marked me at a no show for the 11:AM pick up and was told that the pick up was now changed to a PM pick upI ended up calling someone for a ride homeThe thing that really pisses me off aside from the poor woman in the back of the bus is that I'm sure that BCT will still get paid for this fiasco! I am so angry right now!!!
All this ridiculous BS they put me through, and they never called at 11:AM to tell me the driver was thereUnbelievable!!! I had a stroke about months ago and need to be picked up at the handicap entranceI also cannot stand around for 1/hours waiting for BCT to pick me up and they would probably have been late anywayThis is the one time that the driver was on time for my return pick up, but no call to let me knowI wasted a total of of my minutes calling and answering calls and VMs from BCT and now have minutes left for the monthThis happens more than not, so I look forward to tomorrowUgh!
