Ms [redacted] called years ago as she said there was a leak in her roofWhen I got up on her roof the leak was in the side wall behind the siding; not in the roofIt rotted part of the side plywoodSo in order to get that out I had to take out part of the shingles to replace the rotted plywood from where the plywood was rotted from the bottom plywood and the side plywood causing it to rot in the corner As a courtesy I took the siding off and made the repair free of charge; customer paid for the materialsIt was explained in advance the shingles would not match her existing shingles and would take time to fade and blend in; some take longer than others as she has several shade treesAll this time goes by and there's no leaksCustomer now has her house on the market and wants the shingles replaced, her concern is purely aesthetics, no concern over my craftsmanship or workmanshipChuck [redacted] |Owner
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Regards,
*** ***in his response he said I have shade treesI have no shade trees over the roofHe says he removed existing shingles and plywood before replacing shinglesThis is not trueOne man came out and placed new wrong color shingles over existing shinglesI have contacted him repeatedly over the last two years and each time he told me the lighter shingles would fade to the color of the darker shinglesThis does not make senseI had a new contractor come out today and he said for he will move shingles from the back unseen part of roof to the replaced shingles so that they matchHe will then replace that area with a color that matches as close as possible*** ***
