Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The account of my interaction with
the embroidery shop is inaccurate on several detailsI realize that at this
point it will be a "he-said, she said" situation, but I will clarify
nonethelessI explained to the manager that I did get a great deal on the coat,
not clearance however. *** may even still have them at that priceI only asked to receive what I paid for it,
which was in fact $I asked for a refund of the $for the embroidery
and $for the coat which equals #I would like to point out the sarcastic tones in this
response as wellIt is very indicative of my treatment during my dealing with
this establishment
Concerning signs of wearI
called Buds prior to wearing the coat to explain the situationThe lady I
spoke with on the phone referred me to *** who would be in the next day (which was a Thursday)I had
to wear the coat to class that Wednesday nightI had already reported the
problem to themI felt as if *** was simply looking for ways to make the issue
my fault, and not theirsHe accused me of buying a damaged coat on clearance,
the wear issue, and even went as far as telling me that he had reviewed the
security cameras and can prove that it did not happen thereI found that odd
considering this was at the time of my initial complaint
Concerning "He demanded that the owner replace the chef's coat
at the full price of $rather than the $he said he paid for the
clearance coat that he boughtThis was clearly a ridiculous request and was
firmly rejected." This claim is falseI was not demanding at allAs soon
as I explained to *** that I would prefer to have a refund for the $
for the embroidery and $for the coat, he instantly raised his voice and
became very irritatedFrom that moment, I could barely get in a word edgewise and the conversation was uncomfortable
Concerning
no complaints from classmates, Buds may not have received any directlyHowever
when I spoke to my POC at the school about the issue and a few classmates who had dealt with BudsThe resounding theme of rude treatment came to the surfaceIn fact my
complaint was not the first received at the schoolI am not questioning that
Buds has a track record of good workMy concern is that if my complaint was in
fact the very first one as they say, that it was handled this poorly
I understand
that Buds feels that they had nothing to do with the damage to my coat,
but the horrible treatment I received was unacceptableI was calm and polite
even in disagreementThe damage was however caused at the establishmentI had
ironed and worn the coat once prior to taking it to the shop, and it was
perfectThe shop working area is very cluttered and the lacerations are
consistent with a round type of scoring blade used in that type of
businessI saw those types of items in the sewing isle at ***It’s
very likely that the coat was damaged unknowingly while an employee was working
another jobThat is speculation of course, but a realistic scenario of how it
could have happenedI have been in the military for years and am considered a top performer; that said, I have made mistakes all along the wayI have had to simply take responsibility and move forwardNo body or business is perfect
Concerning the current offer to
do the embroidery on a replacement coatAt this point, I do not feel
comfortable returning to the establishment after how I was treated. I
would prefer a refund check be sent out for $33.00, $for the embroidery
and $for the coatI ask that the Revdex.com look closely at the
argumentative and rude tone in the response from Buds and get a sense
of what I had to deal withIf Buds prefers not to issue me a refund out of
principle, I would accept the $be donated to a charity of their choice
that benefits disable veteransThe matter of $and the rights of the
consumer are important, but it is the treatment of people that matters
most in this case

Re: ID ***
To whom it may concern:
This is in response to the complaint from *** *** about an allegedly torn sleeve on the chef's coat that we embroidered for himWhen we embroider those coats we only deal with the upper right and loft chest of the itemWe do nothing with the sleeve and would not have noticed if there was anything wrong with that area of the coatIt is very possible that the item may have been damaged when we got it to embroider, The individual who complained told us that he bought the coat on clearance at an extremely low price and that it was the last one the store had, Maybe we now know why?
Furthermore, when he brought the coat back in, it showed clear signs of having been worn on the jobIt was stained and dirty at the upper right shoulder, looking as though he had wiped his forehead on itHow do we know that the coat was not damaged while being worn?
He demanded that the owner replace the chef's coat at the full price of $rather than the $he said he paid for the clearance coat that he boughtThis was clearly a ridiculous request and was firmly rejectedWe offered to embroider a new chef's coat at no cost because we understand that he is a student and money is likely pretty tight but we will certainly NOT provide him with a new coatWe do hundreds of these chef's coats every year for a number of local restaurants and have NEVER had a complaint like thisIn fact we did several of them for the classmates that he is so worried about and have had no complaints at all
The offer to embroider a new coat is still good if he will bring it in to the shop and give it to *** *** who did the original and is a highly experienced embroidery tech who has been doing thew for years, This is a generous offer on our part since none of this was our fault
Thank you,
*** ***
