Customer’s Statement of the Problem:
Bad service, unskilled installer, and now they are taking money without authorization
My first encounter with the company was in OctoberI went into the West Chester store, picked out the flooring I wanted and scheduled a free measuring*** *** was the man I worked withHe came out on 10/18/14, and said he would send the quotes via email within hoursOn 10/I still hadn't heard anything, so I contacted himHe responded the next day saying he was having car issues and hadn't been to workHe sent me the quotes on 10/I responded with some questions and just had a sense of uneasinessI decided to change my original plan of doing the whole home at once and try out a smaller room and decide if I wanted to continue doing business with the company, an audition if you willOn 11/I contacted *** to tell him I was only doing one room right now and to pay the deposit over the phoneHe said he would call me the next day to schedule the installationWhen he didn't call on 11/20, I called the store, as the money had already come out of my accountI was informed that he was out with a customer and they would have him call me right awayI heard nothing until I called the store on 11/and asked to speak with the managerI spoke with *** and he assured me he would take care of meWe scheduled the laminate delivery for 12/and installation 12/He called back an hour later and asked if he could change the installation to 12/3, I told him it would have to be 12/He said no problem, and I never heard from him againEverything was delivered as expectedOn 12/I received a call from the installer saying he would be arriving in minutes to install the floorI told him to come ahead and do it that day as I was afraid no one would come the next dayI tried calling the store to find out what happened and why the installer arrived a day early and finally was able to reach someone on the 6th try(You should really invest in answering machines.) I was informed the installers must have made a mistakeThe installer did a great job on the floor, but the baseboards were a disasterHe left all the nail holes unpatched, and just generally did a lazy job on themI called *** and he told me it would be ok, just wait until the installer comes back and he offered to come look at the baseboardsI told him the only way to fix the issues would have been to rip out the baseboards and redo themThe installer came back the next day and "fixed" some of the issues, but it doesn't look much betterIt now remains in the same condition*** contacted me via email on 1/14/(days after the installation, I received a bill within a week) with a digital copy of the warranty information and asked how he could make me happy with my floorsI replied requesting a hard copy (still haven't received it) and stating again that the only way to fix the issues would be to rip out the baseboardsHe offered to have that doneI never replied to that emailToday, 2/7, I decided that I would try another Buddy's location as I really liked the product I had picked and my issues were with the people at the West Chester storeThe call ended up being transferred to the West Chester store anyways, but I was working with someone named *** so I thought I would see if he was any betterI told him this would be his audition, and to please not mess this upI authorized him to charge *** for the deposit, but there is now *** pending withdrawal from my accountThere is no way to contact anyone as there is no voice mail system, and I have been unable to find a company phone number*** more than I expected is being withdrawn from my account! This could have caused an overdraft of my account! I am surprised that so many people seem to think highly of this company as all I have experienced from every single person is incompetenceI will never work with any location again

Hi There,
I would like some compensation Yes I gave them permission to have me as a co-signor on a credit card but they opened the card purposely just under my name I did NOT give them permission to run my credit in that manner Furthermore the HORRENDOUS customer service along the way is just completely unacceptable They are accepting no blame saying that no matter what my credit would have been run Opening and closing a card in my name has consequences on my credit negatively They also lied and said they closed it out which they did not do The 10+ hours I have spent cleaning up their mess is not okay I need some sort of compensation for your careless and harmful act

The consumer states that we “illegally opened a credit card” under her name. In fact, *** *** willingly applied as co-signer for the account in question. It is *** Bank’s, (formerly ** ***), standard policy to issue a
credit card to the co-signer of all accounts per *** ***, Client Services Manager, at *** Bank.
The order placed by *** *** was cancelled by Buddy’s Flooring America as soon as we were notified to do so. Ms*** has not been charged any money and is certainly under no obligation for the transaction that was immediately cancelled upon our notice
Although Ms*** willingly co-signed for the account which generated a credit check, Mr*** has agreed to eliminate any impact on her credit rating as a result of that credit check.
In summary, Buddy’s Flooring America did nothing to harm Ms*** and her receipt of the credit card was standard procedure. Ms***’s transaction was cancelled and Ms*** is under no obligation. There is nothing further that Buddy’s Flooring America can do to resolve this complaint
