This is a very unfortunate situation and [redacted] GMC has invested over $of dealership funds to try and assist the [redacted] 'sThere was also an offer to refund the [redacted] 's an additional $on top of the over $we had already investedThe [redacted] 's agreed to this but have failed to respond to any communication since that agreement was madeI even offered to help them sell the vehicle, but they declined that offerUnfortunately, when you have a yr old vehicle with in excess of 155k miles things will break and you never know what you are going to find inside an engine that old until you tear it down and start replacing parts [redacted] GMC has made countless attempts to help the [redacted] 's but nothing ever seems to be enoughI feel we have made every attempt to resolve this unfortunate situation and decline this request

Instead of rebutting Mr [redacted] 's response which would serve no purpose, Nyle Maxwell GMC is willing to install the catalytic converter for no labor charge if he agrees to purchase a new GM catalytic convertorI am willing to sell him the part for $The labor time to install this part is hours at $130/hrIf Mr [redacted] would like to move forward please contact [redacted] in our scheduling department to find a time that is convenientI will also provide him with transportation while the service is being performed

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have had my car serviced by Nyle Maxwell GMC for all but one oil change If the check engine light came on I went to them as soon as I could get an appointment I never left the dealer with the check engine light on except the last time The quick response to the light should not have cased any damage to the converter.I went to a family reunion in Colorado on July 15, I could not take my car but had to rent a car because Nyle Maxwell was doing repairs (charged for a new fuel pump, and timing belt) I think Nyle Maxwell needs to look at the service date (August 5, 2017) I was charged extra for the Osensor because they stated it was not covered under the extended warranty The code for the catalytic converter was not on the list to repairs at that time the car was placed for service The manuel states to disconnect the battery while doing the repairs The code usually takes about miles to reset This is about the miles it took for the light to come on If the code could have come on I think it would have been showing to replace the converter before I picked up the car.I was told that the fuel pump was leaking fuel into the crankcase The crankcase is different than the exhaust system The fuel will mix with oil thinning it down This could catch fire, explode, or running the car long enough may extremely hurt the engine There hardly any way for the fuel to get to the exhaust system going through the crankcase If any did it would not be enough to hurt the converter the time it was taken in for the repair Remember the code for the converter was not on However, if the oil was leaking into the fuel system then we are talking a different situation However, since the fuel system is high pressured and the oil system is not then this is impossible.I took my Tahoe into Nyle Maxwell to have the speedometer replaced with another one I got at a salvage yard The cost of repair was reasonable When I got the Tahoe back I was concerned about some of the gauges not working It seemed that the yard gave me a faulty gauge Looking at the speedometer I noticed that they did not screw the speedometer into the place where it was placed It was just floating Before I left Nyle Maxwell I had them screw the speedometer into place.I had an accident with my car and placed it with Nyle Maxwell Dodge They were to do an alinement on the car before I picked it up When I place the car in for the next oil change (less than 3,miles I was told that the car needed an alinement I tried to talk with the service manager multiple times but was told that he could only do the repairs and charge me.I have parked my car and I am driving my Tahoe at this time I have not had the converter changed yet But I have gotten bids on completing the job I will be willing to talk with the dealer to see if we can come to some kind of agreement I have priced the converter at another dealership and it runs about The estimate for service to remove and install is around They can contact me at [redacted] Regards, [redacted] [redacted]

I am very sorry that Ms [redacted] is unhappy with her purchase experienceUnfortunately, as explained previously to Ms [redacted] the purchase price of the vehicle increased when the option to select the incentivized rate instead of customer cash was accepted by Ms [redacted] because it allowed them to have a lower monthly paymentThere was a mistake when signing the loan papers after this change was made and the $bonus cash was omittedWhen we tried to correct this and once again explain this to Ms [redacted] she chose not to review the new loan papers to see that this would actually reduce the purchase price and lower the monthly payment, citing that the dealership would somehow benefit from deducting the bonus cash from her purchase priceThe incentivized interest rate was much lower than the rate that they actually qualified for, which produced a much lower monthly payment even after foregoing the customer cash.General Motors gives you the option to take the customer cash or an incentivized interest rate, but not both. One another note, Ms [redacted] 's $down payment check was returned NSF and she has yet to take care of this

I am very sorry to just now hearing of Mr***'s concerns, this diagnosis and estimate was completed on August 5, at 96,milesMy first response is that the manufacturer of the vehicle sets the warranty period and in this case General Motors allows an emissions warranty of years and
80,miles from the in service date, the dealer can only follow the guidelines set forthI agree with Mr*** in that catalytic converters should not just go out, but in this case after reviewing the history on this vehicle it appears that there have been contributing factors over time; 4/23/15 42,miles replaced intake camshaft position solenoid 7/23/16 73,miles replaced exhaust camshaft position solenoid 7/11/17 95,miles repaired fuel pump leaking into the crankcase and replaced sensorFaulty CSP solenoids create a timing issue which allow excess fuel to enter the exhaust systemA fuel pump leaking fuel into the crankcase will definitely allow excess fuel to enter the exhaust systemA faulty sensor will cause the fuel trims to be incorrect and also contribute to this as well. All the previous repairs were covered under Mr***'s extended warranty including the use of a rental carMr***'s only responsibility was a $deductible and maintenance items performed.I certainly understand Mr***'s frustration, as no one likes to hear that they are in need of repairs in excess of $Mr*** has been a very good customer of this company for many years and I am disappointed by his decision to take his business to another shopI'm also saddened by Mr***'s decision to threaten our company with citations since it is my understanding that he is an employee of the State of TexasI am uncertain at this time if the catalytic convertor still needs to be replaced or if Mr*** is merely seeking reimbursement for a repair completed elsewhereI am also sorry that this issue has been allowed to fester for over monthsAlthough, I believe that Nyle Maxwell GMC has done nothing wrong and acted efficiently in our repairs I would have been willing in a gesture of good will to discount the repairs for Mr*** since he has been loyal customer over the yearsIt is my position to reject Mr***'s claim of a $1,at this timeHowever, if the catalytic converter is still in need of replacement I would be open to that discussionI also believe that customers have an equal responsibility to act in a courteous and respectful manner

I am rejecting this response because:I return to the dealership where I purchased my vehicle they installed one new tire however there still is a bad tire in the frontWhen I purchased a vehicle they told me if the tires were bad
they would replace them allThat doesn't seem to be the case they put one tire on and I still have one bad tire in the front where there's intense vibration in the steering wellAll I want them to do is do what they agreed to do in the first place and replace all the tires because apparently there's two thus far

I do sincerely apologize for the pricing error made on ***, this was a obvious error since the vehicle was priced $10,lower than other comparable vehicles in the marketIt is never our intention to deceive or create unrest with our current or potential customersHowever, we are human
and do sometimes make mistakesI am more disappointed that *** was unaware of this mistake and did not inform the ***'s before they arrived at the dealershipI do apologize again for any inconvenience that we caused the ***'s

Instead of rebutting Mr***'s response which would serve no purpose, Nyle Maxwell GMC is willing to install the catalytic converter for no labor charge if he agrees to purchase a new GM catalytic convertorI am willing to sell him the part for $600. I am very sorry that Mr*** is unhappy with his truckBut it is his truck, any repairs or promises made to Mr*** would be in writing on the "We Owe" that is attachedAlthough Mr*** purchased a vehicle with 83,miles on May 26, we have attempted to satisfy him by continuing to pay for items not originally agreed uponUnfortunately, we can not continue to share in the responsibility of ownership with him any longerWe do sell tires for $over cost plus the labor to mount and balance, we would be more than happy to complete this for Mr*** but it would be at his expenseI am sorry that he is unhappy, but based on the attached documentation this dealership has fulfilled it obligation and more

Ms*** contacted the dealership on Friday afternoon with engine concerns on her Canyon, the vehicle was towed to Nyle Maxwell GMC where Ms*** was giving a courtesy transportation vehicle to drive while our technicians began working on her vehicleThe new engine was installed days
later and the Canyon was repaired and ready for pickupHowever, Ms*** refused to pick up her vehicle until the following week citing conflictsIn light of the unfortunate engine failure I contacted General Motors on Ms*** behalf and in a effort to promote customer enthusiasm convinced GM to make these paymentsIn the interim, Ms*** chose to try and defame the reputation of this dealership on social media and GM reputation managementAfter reviewing these post it was determined that regardless of what we do Ms*** was not going to be happyNyle Maxwell GMC repaired Ms***'s vehicle promptly and correctly, provided her with transportation and had convinced GM to make payments for her and she repaid us by negative reviews on social mediaMs*** should have never been entitled to any compensation since the vehicle was only inoperable for business daysNyle Maxwell GMC worked diligently to take care of Ms*** during this unfortunate situation and everything seemed to be completely unappreciated by Ms***Nyle Maxwell GMC has fulfilled its warranty obligations and respectfully declines any further participation

I am rejecting this response because: I have had my car serviced by Nyle Maxwell GMC for all but one oil change. If the check engine light came on I went to them as soon as I could get an appointment. I never left the dealer with the check engine light on except the last time. The quick response to the light should not have cased any damage to the converter.I went to a family reunion in Colorado on July 15, 2017. I could not take my car but had to rent a car because Nyle Maxwell was doing repairs (charged for a new fuel pump, and timing belt). I think Nyle Maxwell needs to look at the service date (August 5, 2017). I was charged extra for the Osensor because they stated it was not covered under the extended warranty. The code for the catalytic converter was not on the list to repairs at that time the car was placed for service. The manuel states to disconnect the battery while doing the repairs. The code usually takes about miles to reset. This is about the miles it took for the light to come on. If the code could have come on I think it would have been showing to replace the converter before I picked up the car.I was told that the fuel pump was leaking fuel into the crankcase. The crankcase is different than the exhaust system. The fuel will mix with oil thinning it down. This could catch fire, explode, or running the car long enough may extremely hurt the engine. There hardly any way for the fuel to get to the exhaust system going through the crankcase. If any did it would not be enough to hurt the converter the time it was taken in for the repair. Remember the code for the converter was not on. However, if the oil was leaking into the fuel system then we are talking a different situation. However, since the fuel system is high pressured and the oil system is not then this is impossible.I took my Tahoe into Nyle Maxwell to have the speedometer replaced with another one I got at a salvage yard. The cost of repair was reasonable. When I got the Tahoe back I was concerned about some of the gauges not working. It seemed that the yard gave me a faulty gauge. Looking at the speedometer I noticed that they did not screw the speedometer into the place where it was placed. It was just floating. Before I left Nyle Maxwell I had them screw the speedometer into place.I had an accident with my car and placed it with Nyle Maxwell Dodge. They were to do an alinement on the car before I picked it up. When I place the car in for the next oil change (less than 3,miles I was told that the car needed an alinement I tried to talk with the service manager multiple times but was told that he could only do the repairs and charge me.I have parked my car and I am driving my Tahoe at this time. I have not had the converter changed yet. But I have gotten bids on completing the job. I will be willing to talk with the dealer to see if we can come to some kind of agreement. I have priced the converter at another dealership and it runs about 650.00. The estimate for service to remove and install is around 250.00. They can contact me at ***
