Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Business is misrepresenting the facts. Their senior technician (Leonard) came twice. During the first time on 1 February, Leonard could not fix the problem. He did not know why the exhaust fan turned on the warming drawer light on the control board. He left the range without solving anything. I contacted Leonard again to tell him the situation got worse. Now the oven and the exhaust could not be turned on.
On 9 February senior tech Leonard came a second time. He now diagnosed the problem to be the switch membrane and not the control panel. At no time did the senior tech state that this rep[redacted] was under warranty. He stated in order to rep[redacted] the switch membrane the entire front panel would have to be replaced and added cost. Again he did not state that the switch membrane rep[redacted] was under warranty as the Business claims. I already spent money on replacing the control panel, front burner coil and range knob. And like the control panel, how can I be sure that the switch membrane is the problem? I have no more confidence with the Business that they know what they are doing and no more patience when they would respond, and that is why I declined to have the rep[redacted] done. It was not as the Business stated that the rep[redacted] is under warranty and there will be no charge.
Additionally, I asked Leonard to look at the refrigerator. I asked him why it is taking the refrigerator rep[redacted] so long to be fixed? I told him that since 22 January when their service tech (Koa) came to look at the refrigerator nothing has been done. All my calls to their dispatcher (Brittney) was in vain. Koa diagnosed the problem to a faulty damper that was making a knocking sound 24/7. Senior tech Leonard looked up the part on his iPad and found out it was in stock. He did not know why from 22 January to 9 February nothing was done. The senior tech left.
On 15 February, senior tech Leonard came a third time to replace the faulty refrigerator part. The Business still does not admit that this rep[redacted] started on 22 January when their technician Koa came, and when I paid my deposit to the Business.
On 10 March I came home in the afternoon after playing golf at Barbers Point. My wife came home after me. She was out all day working. I had a Revdex.com email and a phone message. I replayed a phone message(12:26pm) from the Business (Pua?). I could not hear clearly what was being said or asked. It ended with "we wanted to ask if everything is going OK (with the refrigerator and range). I called back at 5 pm and left a message for Pua.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: This company REFUSES to return my calls after they didn't show up for a follow-up service call. I have called repeatedly (at least 5 times) but no one has bothered to call me back.

I had a clogged drain on my freezer which was supposedly taken care of by them (at a cost of $180). The problem has resurfaced. I called them on or about December **, 2015 and was told they would be here at 10:00 am on Saturday, January *, 2015. I called at 10:15 am that morning and was told that the serviceman had to drop his wife off at the airport but would come to my house subsequently. That is the last I heard from anyone despite my many follow up calls.

In that the problem has returned, I would like a reimbursement so I can have another business do the work (properly this time).Desired Settlement: Refund of money paid. I DO NOT want to have these people back to my home as I can not trust them to do so. Furthermore, we are leaving for our Florida home for the winter and will not be here anyway. (I told this to the repairman, stressing the urgency that he return).

Unfortunately, that is the only information I have. Perhaps Choice Home Warranty (###-###-####, fax ###-###-####) has additional info, as they were the ones that sent them here in the first place.Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but I didn't see this email until now.Truly,[redacted]

Review: My dishwasher broke. At the suggestion of my building superintendent, I contacted Budget Appliance Repair. A technician came to make a repair (I was at work during the day for these visits, but the super was with the technician). The technician claimed he fixed the dishwasher. When I tried to run the dishwasher, it still did not work. He returned, replaced a valve, and once again claimed it was fixed. Again I tried to run the dishwasher, and it did not work. He returned once more and claimed that the circuit board needed to be replaced. He claimed to have ordered one and would return to install it. This led to weeks of me calling, asking when he would return, a handful of returned calls promising that the part was about to be delivered, then silence. He simply stopped returning my calls. Finally I reached him, and he promised to refund my money. The check was about to be mailed. And again silence.

I had paid a deposit of $69.95 and the balance of $148.00. After many, many calls, I have not received a penny towards a refund. I have also since bought a new dishwasher.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of all the money I paid (total: $217.95)

Review: I paid an individual by the name of "[redacted]" of Budget Appliance Repair to fix my gas clothes dryer due to it not heating up. Upon his inspection of my appliance he concluded that my vent system was clogged and that it was causing a sensor to signal the dryer to cut off the heating mechanism. His remedy was to simply push the sensor button to reset it and instructed me to have someone clean out the vent system. As soon as he pressed the reset button my dryer began to work as before but he told me to not continue to use it till the vent system was cleaned out. I followed his exact instructions and hired someone the very next day to clean out the vent system. Soon after, I began to use my dryer as usual till I loaded up the 3rd pile of wet clothes and to only notice an hour later that the clothes were still wet and the dryer was just letting out cold air once again. I called up the company again and explained what happened and was told that it sounded like I needed a new sensor because that those sensors were known to frequently fail. He went on to tell me that he would be sending someone out ASAP and that someone would be calling me back in a bit to set up a time. That was the last time I heard from them because no one ever called me back to set up an appointment not even after I kept calling [redacted] repeatedly leaving numerous voice mails. To make sure that my suspicions were true in that my calls were being ignored I had 2 friends of mine call from their own phones and pretend to be seeking out their services. After both of their calls were also screened, they each got called back shortly and given another phone number [redacted] to call him back and set up an appointment if they wished to hire him. One of my friends ended up calling him back at that number to ask him why was he not returning my phone calls and he simply just hung up on her.Desired Settlement: Since I've had to now pay yet another company to come out and replace the sensor that they fail to follow up on I would like my money refunded in the full amount of $109.

Sincerely,

Review: [redacted] charged $180 ($100 for part and $80 for labor) to replace a timer to fix the defrosting problem with my fridge in my rental property. Not only was he overcharging for the part replacement (the timer costs less than $40) he was unreliable in making the appointments. I had to call him numerous times because he either missed his appointments or he was late on his arrival time. The worst of all is that the defrosting problem recurred few weeks after the part was replaced. My tenant and I both called him numerous times, and he did not return our calls and never show up to address the problem he failed to fix the problem even though he said the price I paid includes the warranty and service guarantee. At the end I had to contact another fridge repairman to fix the problem. His unresponsiveness caused my tenant to live without a working fridge for an extended period of time.I had left many messages on his voicemail to request for a full refund, but he didn't return my call.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund $200 I paid him for the service ($180 he charged plue $20 tips) since the problem was never fixed.
