It appears Mr [redacted] wanted to return the Acura TL to Budget Autos several days to a couple weeks after purchaseHe was primarily concerned it seems, with a tire pressure monitor and that in the future he believed a timing belt would need to be replaced He talks of the Budget Autos "Guarantee" We do offer a free "Limited 5day/mile Powertrain Warranty" That warranty reads as follows; "This warranty covers all internally lubricated, moving parts in the engine and transmission This guarantee provides protection against [Disabling Failure] by those internally lubricated parts, for up to days or miles which ever comes first." Continuing, "Transmission and engine are the only warrantied assemblies No guarantees are promised for any electronics, fuel delivery systems, gaskets/seals or any other mechanical or electronic system." The car was not disabled due to any issue as it was still being driven weeks after the sale Mr [redacted] had an opportunity to drive the vehicle before purchasing and saw no issues that discouraged his purchase As well we allow pre-purchase inspections to be performed if the customer chooses.We at Budget Autos hope the Acura continues to perform well for Mr [redacted] and that he will get many years of service from this car.Sincerely,Budget Autos

The customer did purchase a Jeep Patriot with 159K miles from us He paid $plus fees The NADA retail bank value was $Hence it was bought $below book value NADA is the official source used by all lenders and banks to determine value.We did inform the buyer of specific replacement parts we had installed to address suspension needs, due to wear and tear We showed receipts for parts we replaced The customer test drove and liked the vehicle and made the purchase We do permit and endorse pre-purchase inspections, however the customer did not have one performed The vehicle was purchased and is verifiable by the customer signed Buyer's Guide, which is required of Dealers by The State of Minnesota No further parts or repairs were promised.I next heard from the customer after several days to one week He said he had taken the vehicle to a repair facility and was told they recommended other suspension repairs He asked if we were going to take care of that and we declined We did not inspect nor did we make any repairs after the sale Although it was taken as reported earlier to another facility were inspections were performed.Finally, the customer contacted us almost weeks after the purchase and claimed a wheel had come off and caused damage to the vehicle and he would like to return the vehicle We are not interested in receiving this vehicle back in a damaged state He also suggested that we pay for damages and a set of new tires, to which we also declined We are sad to hear of the damage to the car, however after almost weeks in his possession, having been in another repair facility and damages from unknown causes; anywhere from vandalism, pranks, careless driving or failure on the part of the other repair facility Unfortunately, we are unable to reimburse the customer for any damages sustained by the vehicle

I am rejecting this response because: I have a voice mail saying the car was safe and in good working order This was not a Craigslist sale He is a dealer, and needs to put a safe car on the roadWhy should I take it to be inspected?? He shows me a list of parts replaced, he doesn't tell me what part still needed to be replacedAlso Tires where the steel belts a coming out is not SAFE!!!The other dealer had no reason to touch or remove the back wheel The Jeep was driven less than miles It is Budget Auto that did not tighten the back lug nuts!!It took weeks to fax the information over because we did not know the amount of the damages I left voice mails the day after it happened and the calls were not returned I finally set a fax with the problems An as is car should include tight lug nuts on the back end!!! Also KKB list the car at $ Not the 7K he claims!
