I met with Ms*** in November for an indoor shutter consultationWe spent quite a bit of time reviewing the product during the consultation and I felt that Ms*** and I had a good understanding of all details of the product and how they would be mountedOn installation day were
installed as I felt we agreed on and according to my notesThe installation went smoothly and the shutters were beautifulThey were mounted as I explained during the consultation - the same way that I have mounted shutters (for this window application for over yearsMs*** ordered another shutter for her entry doorMy installer installed it approximately weeks laterMs*** requested a return call after the installationOur communication process failed (both on my part and my messaging service's part)Being a small business juggling many balls at any given time , communication is an area that I continually strive to improve One of the options for shutters is called "split Tilt"This allows the top louvers to be operated independently of the lower lower louuversMs*** requested a specific position for the tilt in her dining room and living roomI do not recall pacific split locations for the other shutters and ordered as I usually do (1/and 1/2)I agreed to reorder the shutters she was concerned with because of the split tilt locationShe was also concerned with the position of where the shutter frame was mounted on her window trimAs I mentioned, I mounted the exact same way as I have done for over yearsI do not recall a discussion about her request and even demonstrated how I normally install outside mount shuttersThe way she requested during our follow up meeting, concerned me that the louvers would rub her trim on the backside and not function properlyWe could not agree on this point and after resistance on my part, I came to the conclusion that nothing that I could do or say would satisfy Ms***I issued a full refund for her purchaseThis disappoints me for a number of reasons- our communication process failed and I was not able to satisfy Ms***I have been a Revdex.com member for well over years and this is the first complaint that I have had filed with the Revdex.comI think this fact speaks to the committment That Budget Blinds of Charlottesville demonstrates to it"s customers

Review: I ordered CUSTOM plantation shutters for my entire home. Ed [redacted], the owner of this franchise, made the sale and took all the details. When the shutters were installed, the ratio of the split rail was not what I ordered. I also asked that the shutter frames be made so they were flush with the window frames (which Mr. [redacted] assured me was possible), yet every one was 1" short, all the way around. Of course, I didn't notice this until after the install, but because I placed another order for a shutter for my front door, I decided to address all the issues when Mr. [redacted] came back for the next install. - But he didn't come back. He sent his son, instead. And wouldn't you know, the front door shutter's split rail ratio was way off, as well? I have since contacted Mr. [redacted] 5 times, leaving messages each time, yet he will not return my calls. I have no product or warranty information on my plantation shutters. I am beyond frustrated with Mr. [redacted] and his franchise. These plantation shutters are too expensive for me not to get what I wanted. I did not ask for anything other shutter companies do not offer, so if Budget Blinds was not able to accommodate me, Mr. [redacted] should have been honest about that. Not returning your client's calls, well that is simply unacceptable. As it stands, I'm stuck with a bunch of expensive, but cheap looking shutters and the completely empty promise of "an unmatched level of service" from http://www.budgetblinds.com/Charlottesville/.Desired Settlement: Receive a refund for these inferior looking shutters that clearly do not suit my originally-stated needs, so that I may purchase high-quality plantation shutters from a reputable dealer and receive a high standard of customer service.
