We bought 3 sets of blinds and a drapery rod with attachments from Budget Blinds. We were charged $410 for the rod..when we saw the rod it isn't OK
The installer put in the blinds and that is all well and good. The rod, however, did not have brackets nor did it have a means to screw in the finials we already had. Most importantly this $400 rod is extremely light and is not worth $400. After one unpleasant phone conversation with the sales person, we wrote and emailed and called the office to ask that they take the rod back and apply the 25% discount to the blinds purchase. We advanced $500 before any delivery was made and we are owed $181.30 plus or minus sales tax adjustments. Our email has not been responded to and our phone calls are not returned even though the message states that all calls will be returned in 24 hours. The email was sent June 9; the letter was mailed June 12; calls were made June 11 and June 12.
We want the drapery rod picked up..it is still in a plastic wrapper and in a popular color and fits over three standard sized windows and I am fairly certain it could be returned to the manufacturer with whom they must do considerable business. We want a refund of $181.30.
Budget Blinds reached out to the client after install to discuss the drapery rod. We mistakenly thought the client wanted to purchase the rod only, and failed to order brackets. The clients current finials also do not have the necessary connectors to attach them to the new rod purchased. We are sorry for our errors as they were not intentional. We have cut a check for the client to refund his money for the rod in full. We are happy to hear that the client is pleased with the rest of his product installed in his house. We greatly appreciate the clients business and are happy to make the situation right.
Budget Blinds has offered to pick up rod and reimburse us some $50 or so..will advise if that happens..if it does, matter would be resolved
