The original customer (not the one who is complaining and was NOT there for the install) Failed to tell us that the caulking around the windows was just put in that dayIf we were made aware of that, we would have declined to installThe installer dropped a screw which landed in the caulking causing a blemish in itI agreed to pay a "reasonable" amount to have it repaired$125, does not seem reasonable, and I offered to send my window installer to do itMy offer Max limit was $for it, and that was being generousAlso, it was failed to be mentioned that dogs at the property were not properly contained and bit one of my installers

Review: ordered blinds for my home on 10/15

on 11/10; only a partial installation occured as the order was messed up at their end w/sizing; was told by the owner, Brady to expect in 2 weeks it w/be expedited. 2 weeks came and went and no blinds and after leaving brady at least 5 phone calls; I finally get a call from cathy who is the sales person I ordered from and who measured the windows. she now proceeds to tell me...OOPS...the order didn't get done so it's another 2 weeks; that was 4 weeks ago and now I cannot obtain a phone call back from this business. left 3 msgs in the last 3 biz days. I've paid them 270 and have no blinds for the other windows and frankly the blinds they installed are so cheaply made I am not at all satisfied w/the quality or the service of the blinds. need to get the order resolved than I guess its a case of simply buyer bewareDesired Settlement: want a call

want the blinds asap installed

want an adjustment of 25% for the poor service, non adherence to their commitment to provide blinds within the timeframe THEY stated

Review: It's been well over a year now and I have not been contacted or compensated for the issue I am addressing. You have failed to return my phone calls and have ignored me so I have no choice but to start with the Revdex.com and proceed from there depending on the outcome. I purchased blinds for my home at [redacted] in Pittsburgh, PA on 10/25/2013. That is not a mistype, that was in 2013. Following installation of the blinds, there were numerous issues. The most severe was the damage to brand new windows that were just installed. There was damage to the front windows resulting from the installation of the blinds, the blinds installed in one of the bedrooms was cut too short, the blinds for another bedroom were the wrong type, and the blind in the kitchen was not usable. I contacted Budget Blinds and spoke with [redacted] to resolve this issue. I also spoke with the installer that was there to install the blinds originally. The issue with the kitchen was that the blinds were installed so close to the cabinets that the cord could not be used to bring the blind up and down. This should have been obvious to the sales person that it would not have worked, and more obvious to the installer when he installed them. This was resolved by replacing it with a cordless lift style, once they were reordered. The blind in the bedroom that was too short was reordered as well. However, it was literally months that passed until I finally got a hold of the installer again. He told me the blind was received at the warehouse some time ago but was "misplaced" and "behind other boxes" so that was delayed for no reason other than negligent handling in your receiving department. The installer came out again to replace the blind that was too short, replace the kitchen blind with the cordless version, and he took pictures of the damage to the window in the living room. Upon inspecting the other bedroom window that was the wrong style, I was informed that the double cell in that make didn't exist. I have the invoice from [redacted] that clearly states a double cell shade. How the sales person didn't know this, and why the single cell shade was just installed without letting me know, I cannot figure out. Maybe you were hoping I just wouldn't notice. The installer was supposed to contact the manager after his visit to discuss the issues with the installation and the service, as well as rectify the damage to the window. That was the last I heard from anyone working for Budget Blinds. I called numerous times to the number I had, which was [redacted]'s personal cell phone and left numerous messages until I finally received a message that the voicemail was full. I left a message with the receptionist of Budget Blinds after calling the main number and explained the situation. She claimed she would forward this information to the manager but, yet again, I heard nothing. When I spoke with the installer, who was apologetic, I informed him that not only would the damage need rectified, but there would need to be monetary compensation for the issues I experienced and incorrect products sold to me. Understandably, he could not do anything but forward the pictures of the damage and my complaint to the manager, however, I never heard back. It's now 2015 and I was rectifying my paperwork when I realized that nothing ever came of this and the damage to the windows remains. This is my first step to rectifying the situation. If I do not hear back and have this resolved appropriately, I intend to sue Budget Blinds for the damage to the windows. The ball is in your court, but I will not wait much longer to resolve this. I recommend you address this immediately.Desired Settlement: The damage to the living room windows must be repaired and compensation must be given for the incorrect products sold to me, terrible service, and the unbelievable lack of customer service from Budget Blinds. Nothing less will be accepted.

After having this brought to my attention, I immediately called to solve the problem. We decided on a resolution that suits us both. We (budget blinds) thought that everything was done as this was installed in the previous owners's house. Sorry for any confusion.

I was contacted by [redacted] of Budget Blinds via phone call on 2/24/2015. At this time, [redacted] agreed to repair the damage Budget Blinds caused to the window. I told him the repairs would need to be done by the original installer in order to maintain the quality of work I expect. He was to send me an e-mail to the address that I supplied to him so I could respond with the quote for the repairs. I was to then contact the window company to send me a quote for repairs of the damage. I received the quote e-mailed to me from the window company via e-mail on 3/9/2015, and I have attached it to this message. I didn't receive an e-mail from Budget Blinds at all, so I called [redacted] again on 3/18/2015 to get his e-mail address. After getting the e-mail address during this conversation, I e-mailed the quote from the window company to [redacted] on 3/18/2015. I didn't hear back, so I sent a follow up e-mail again on 3/23/2015 asking for an update. I received a response to my inquiry the evening of 3/23/2015 from Budget Blinds saying that the estimate seemed too high and asked for my opinion. I responded back on 3/24/2015 that as per my original phone call on 2/24/2015, I would only use the original installer who's work I trust and this quote was more than reasonable for the repairs. I have not heard back to date, and just like the original problem that prompted me to open this complaint, I have lost my patience with this company. The business responded to the Revdex.com that they would pay for the damages, and to date, that has not happened. I gave this company thousands of dollars in business and now they are bickering about a $125 repair to a $5,000 custom window that they, under their own admission, damaged.

The business never agreed to a monetary limit at anytime. The arbitrary amount of $100 was never mentioned to me either during the two phone conversations or in any of the e-mail correspondences that we exchanged. What was agreed is that the company did knowingly damage my property and agreed to pay for the damages they caused. The quote I received was not unreasonable to repair the damages and was from a reputable company, in fact the original company to install the windows (Renewal by Anderson). Budget Blinds advertised that they were insured and this child like bickering over the cost to repair the damage tries my patience. What is despicable is the owners reprehensible spin he is attempting to place on the subject at hand, that more than a year later he informs me that the two dogs I own bit his installers. I find it ironic that not only is this the first I have heard about it, but that it is clearly a tit-for-tat statement. My dogs are the size of small rabbits that couldn't chew through a tissue, let alone injure a grown man. That he is bringing this up at all shows a level of immaturity that I've come to expect with his brand. It's clear this will need to be settled in court.
