WIndow film was purchased from Budget Blinds and they had it installed on my home's windows. I had to replace a window and need to reapply the film. I have no record from them of the Manufacturer or Type of film that was used and they have not provided this information to me after requesting it multiple times from them.
I had another installer come to my home and they were unable to match the product. Budget Blinds never gave me any paperwork or a receipt for this window film. all they did was write "Film SPF 45" on my invoice. I need more information about the product in order to replace it on my window and they are not being cooperative. They sent me a warranty that doesn't even tell me the specific film that was applied to my windows.

We are currently still working with the customer on this job and she is aware that our owner will be reaching out to her Monday 4/29/2019 to discuss solutions. She was contacted and notified about this Wednesday morning around 10:00am 4/24/2019.
We had sold the customer window film from Window Film Depot who was then subcontracted out to install the window film in her newly built and purchased home. A few months after closing escrow, one of the windows that had window film applied to it had cracked from the house settling. Confirmed by the builder. We then provided the customer with the warranty information and contact information for Window Film Depot for the warranty is through the manufacture, not us. The manufacture told her they would not warranty the window since it was the house settling that cracked the window and they were also not the ones at fault. The window has since been replaced and just needs new window film applied. We have since been working with the manufacture so we could get the best cost possible for her and we would then do the job at our cost. We would present this cost Monday.
The owner of budget blinds has been in contact with *** as soon as he got back in town as originally stated. We have provided the full warranty information, the installer information has been provided as should have ben by window film depot, as it was their employee who conducted the install, and we have come to a resolution to help purchase new window film even though it was in no way our fault the window cracked. This matter has been resolved.

1) The owner being out of town is not an acceptable excuse for the delays and run-around I received trying to get the manufacturer information, warranty, and installer contact information.
2) Window Film Depot told me to contact Budget Blinds for the installer information so they were both sending me back and forth between them with neither providing the information for weeks.
3) Consumers should know that after I spent over $3,000 on my window treatments, Budget Blinds still wanted to charge me $25 for a pull stick for the blinds that I cannot reach
4) Consumers should also know that Budget Blinds will sell you window film and have it installed without ever mentioning that it voids your glass/window warranty. A professional would know this and they did not convey this information.
5) No one ever said they cracked the window. The window cracked due to settling of the house.
