In researching this case, this guest checked in around 2AM. She came from Downtown Sacramento advising us that the hotel she had a...
reservation at couldn't find her reservation. She then decided to check into our hotel, room 115 with her daughter. She went into the room and only complained that there was a spider behind the curtain in the bathroom. Keep in mind that ONE spider was seen. The guest came to the office and informed my father of her concern and my father went to check the room immediately. When my dad returned to the office after checking the room, the guest had LEFT already and did not ask for a refund. If the guest ASKED for a refund and did not leave prior to my dad coming back into the office, we would have had the opportunity to provide a refund.
I called the guest at the number she provided and her phone went to voicemail. I left a message for the guest and advised her to call me back at our number, [redacted]. Advised that we will offer her a refund of $70 however she paid cash and must come to our office to obtain the refund and sign the back of her registration card stating that she received the refund from us. Awaiting call back from guest.
