I appreciate the opportunity to respond to the complaint submitted by Ms*** on 10/27/She isa valued customer and we have worked with her in the past regarding some issues with her account.Our staff is very professional and have treated Ms*** with the same respect we share with each
andevery one of our customersAs far as the facts surrounding her complaint, her request for a defermentwas logged on 10/25/At that time our account manager explained to her that she would requiredocumentation of the hardship in order to get approval for a defermentOur representative alsoworked with her on an arrangement to make her payment on an alternative dateThis extended thepayment due 10/19/until 11/3/Her vehicle is equipped with a payment reminder system, whichis a preset timer based solely on her contractual paymentsIf the system does not see a payment by thedue date, it will make an audible tone to remind the customer they have missed a paymentAfter apreset period of time without a payment the device will interrupt the starter and the vehicle will notstartAt that time we expect the customer to communicate with us in order to receive an emergencycode or bring the account current so the next code is deliveredThe customer has full control over thisdevice based on their paymentsThe only way for us to override it would be to defer a payment, whichrequires documentation of the hardship and my approvalUnfortunately, Ms*** was unable todocument her hardship and it never came across my deskAs far as the late fee, it is 5% of the past dueamount after daysThis is disclosed on the contract at the time of saleHer account manager canwaive this at their discretionSubsequent to her complaint, we have not heard from Ms*** nor hasshe provided any of the documentation we requestedShe did make her payment as agreed on11/3/We empathize with Ms*** and are very sorry to hear of her lossWe would be happy tospeak to her again regarding this matter and will continue to serve her account with the same courtesyas we previously have extended to herThank you for your time and consideration.Regards,Anthony *** CPADirector of Finance
