Buffalo Bore Ammunition Company Reviews (3)

Review: I contacted the manufacturer on 12/15/15 and sent them the following email:

I used the above named ammo (45/255) in my H&K USP 45 Compact and after

firing 1 round my slide locked. It wouldn't go forward or backwards. I've

had this firearm for several years and I've ran all types of ammo through it

without any issues. Now I'm forced to send the firearm to the manufacturer

to inspect it for fear that I may have damaged the extractor while forcing

the slide back to remove the chambered round. Please help me understand why

your ammunition caused this. Thank you.

I also explained to Mr. [redacted] on another email that I bought this ammunition for use on a hunting trip that I took and was using the above named pistol as a back up gun. Thank goodness that I did not have to use it in such a way or I may not be here today. This was a very serious issue as I could not clear the weapon and it had a live round stuck in the chamber.

I received a reply from [redacted] which basically blamed the firearm for the malfunction. I replied that I would send the firearm to the manufacturer for inspection and would get back to him with the results. I received the firearm back from the manufacturer on 1/8/16. On that same day I emailed Mr. [redacted] and attached a copy of the report supplied by the manufacturer which stated that the firearm was not to blame. I have still not heard back from Mr. [redacted] or anyone at Buffalo Bore.Desired Settlement: At this point I want a refund for the faulty ammunition as well as a refund for the expenses that I incurred by having to ship the weapon to the manufacturer as well as the inspection fee that I was charged by the manufacturer.

Review: The ammunition is dangerous, when the bullets are fired the casings stick in the barrel with a bulge in the case. Some of the casings cracked because they were overloaded with powder. I do not want for my firearm to be damaged due to the ammunition not being within the limits of SAAMI standards. I contacted the company buffalo bore and [redacted] just says his ammo doesnt work in all guns. I asked him why the ammo was disfuctioning and why are the casings bulging with signs of extreme pressures? He said his ammo was good and that it was my gun. I recently emailed him again and asked if he could take a look at this ammunition because I think that it is out of spec and needs to be looked at. He responds with the guns are the problem and I told him that he was not acting very professional. He sends me an email with some inappropriate things in it. Here is the email copied and pasted:

Well gee, then I guess your narrow and uniformed opinion means I have defrauded millions of Americans, because that is how many folks buy and use that ammo without fail. So while you are reporting me to your GA, be sure to [redacted] yourself. How’s that for professionalism?

If you want me to have a certain standard of conduct, then better see to it that you comport yourself likewise or that would make you a hypocrite, wouldn’t it?

So your answer is there is no extra powder in there? Then dont use it? Very professional . I am stuck with a box that is all. I wont choose to use your ammunition anymore because I cannot trust that it wont fail on me. My life depends on this ammo and if you cannot make sure that the walls of the brass casing are thicker to be able to handle plus pressures and to not bulge and get stuck in my barrel, then my country doesn't need your products getting them killed when they need it in self defense. I have read blogs and everybody says that you will replace the funny ammo but I guess not you are just grumpy and need an attitude adjustment. Also show me a pistol in a video that this ammo functions without malfunctions. My states attorney general needs to know about this because these bullets void every .380 acp guns warranty in america. (.380 acp +P)not within the limits of SAAMI standards.

>Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for this ammo and I would like to be given a free box of standard pressure .380 acp ammo hp that are safe to use in any gun.

Review: I had bought a box of buffalo bore ammunition and as I was shooting them through my brand new glock 20sf , the primers was blowing out of the shell casings as they were being fired, and the casings were also expanded at the case head due to the pressure of the ammunition, my first resp once was to take the ammo and gun to my local gun dealer to determine what was happening, they said they've never seen this before and said it was the ammo, and not the gun, so my gun dealer advised me to contact buffalo bore and see what they say. Well on Feb 19 the I had emailed buffalo bore and talked to [redacted] he advised me to no longer shoot that ammo, he wanted pictures so I sent pictures he said what ever I do do not shoot this ammo til he knows what's going on, well then I didn't hear back from him and so I emailed him again and so [redacted] wrote a nasty email to me stating (this is the internet, and it and trying to blame the gun and got all nasty and rude with me, stated that he was no longer reading my emails and so forth) but he Santa's pictures cause he stated that they did get some bad brass in. All I wanted was a reimbursement, either pay me the box of ammo which was 42.00 or send me a new box of ammo. Instead this guy had got cocky, rude and just had a bad attitude, poor costumer care. In the beginning he was all con earned then he flippedand did a 180 on me. If I shoot this ammo and it explodes and hurts someone or myself then would they care, proberly not . Buffalo bore needs better costumer care.Desired Settlement: I either want an exchange or refund
