To explain the amount discrepancy on my complaint, I simultaneously purchased a new front door and rear door The total contract for the purchase and installation of both doors was the amount I cited in the complaint I had no way to break out the cost of the rear door and your complaint form provided no way for me to explain that. As for the acceptance of the manufacturer's offer, I will accept it conditionally If they are saying by the fact that my exterior door is exposed to excessive weathering due to limited overhang, then my contention is that their door is not really an exterior quality door and another door of the same make and model will not really solve my problem I would like some assurance that the same condition will not occur another year and a half after I have that door installed The reference to the door not being finished properly is the first time that comment has ever been made to me Their statement explains nothing about what is improper about the finish. The other thing that is difficult for me to understand is why did it take my complaining to the Revdex.com for them to make this offer I am a reasonable person and only expect a reasonable quality from the products that I purchase If Mr Ron P*** or Buffelen's local representative, Mr Dan H***, would like to discuss this further, I would be happy to do so I can be reached on my cell phone at ***. Dear [redacted];I am writing this letter in regards to the letter you sent Buffelen Woodworking dated Friday, August 25th,2017 referencing ID# [redacted].This is the [redacted] complaint of a Buffelen exterior door not holding up to the outside elements.Buffelen Woodworking sold a 3-0 x 6-8 1...

3/4" Fir 944 door w/ 3/4" Hip Raised Panels and SGM (nonthermal)glass as a stock door to our Customer, Dallas Wholesale in Desoto, TX for $171.74. An order wasthen placed for the above-mentioned door by Conroe Door Company in Conroe, TX and subsequently soldto Mr. [redacted] by Conroe Door. We do not understand the purchase price listed on your letter, as even withmark-ups by our Customer, Dallas Wholesale and their Customer Conroe Door, the price is way too highfor the supplied door.From what we understand Conroe Door Company supplied and installed a back door to Mr. [redacted]'shome. As a 104-year old Wood Stile and Rail Door Manufacturer, we take precautions in making sureproper fmishing instructions are visible and/or attainable for our doors. I have included a copy of the"sticker" that goes on the edge of every Buffelen door manufactured as well as a copy of the "glass sticker"that goes on every door we manufacture with glass.A letter from Mr. [redacted] notified us that he was having issues with the bottom rail of his door. Wecontacted our Buffelen Representative in South Texas to have him go take a look at Mr. [redacted]'s door.Our Rep went out and found the following-Limited overhang to help protect the doorDoor was not properly finished to these conditionsThe bottom rail of the door has experienced some swellingThe door has been harshly weathered over the last yearThere is evidence of the same swelling and discoloration on the jamb (not supplied by Buffelen)In light of the door not being properly fmished or maintained, Buffelen Woodworking, working throughDallas Wholesale and Conroe Door has agreed to supply a new, unfinished, machined door to Mr. [redacted]at no charge. This will serve as "Final Settlement" as Buffelen Woodworking does not feel that they didanything wrong as a Manufacturer.
