Dear Ms***, My apologies for the delayed response, the second notice of complaint ID [redacted] just found its way into my handsIt appears to me that there must have been some miscommunication regarding this claim My records show that there was a refund issued to the claimant on 7/22/in the amount of $140.00, a mere two days after the complaint was filed Perhaps it was a simple timing issue? Regardless, the issue has been satisfactorily resolved on our end and I would hope that the claimant is also satisfied Please feel free to contact me directly with any further questions regarding this claimBest Regards, [redacted] ControllerBuffini & Company

It is Buffini and Company’s policy to not issue refunds for any materials that have been used. There was obviously a misunderstanding between the client care representative and the customer on the initial call while discussing the return and refund of the product. We understand the
customer feels as if she clearly expressed the materials had been used, but that was not the message we received. Otherwise, the client care representative would not have agreed to issue the refund since it’s against our policy. Upon receiving the returned materials and discovering they had been used, we notified the customer immediately that we could not issue the refund. The materials were shipped back to the customer and we offered to place her in a different training class or allow the training to occur online. This proposed resolution was unsatisfactory to the customer and the situation was escalated to a supervisor. The supervisor also viewed the used materials and supported the initial decision that a refund could not be issued. Once again, we would still be happy to place the customer in a different training class but must adhere to our refund policy for used materials

The customer is correct in stating that they cancelled in December and were mistakenly billed for January and February. At that time, we had just transitioned our CRM system along with our billing system which unfortunately resulted in a number of billing errors. Those billing
errors caused a backlog in our client care department response time and in turn, a backlog in our refund request assistance time. Our records indicate the entire amount of $was refunded on 2/26/and should have appeared in the customer's account by this time.
