*** *** *** Conciliation Department: The following is my response to the referenced complaint. First of all let me say that I did fail to respond to Mrs***. I was having some family health issues and was out of the office quite a bit. The paperwork that my secretary laid on my desk got mixed in with some other correspondenceThis is not intended to make an excuse as I have so far been able to resolve any misunderstandings or differences with my customers We were called on July 28, to check out their A/C as it was blowing but not cooling. Mrs*** said that this house was a foreclosure and had been idle for some time. Our Technician (Years Old), a licensed qualified journeyman Technician made the service callPer our Technicians notes he inspected the hvac unit, went over the unit with a leak detector and applied soap bubbles and found no visible refrigerant leaks. He injected dye into the system in case the refrigerant did leak down over time. If there was a leak the dye would glow under a special light exposing the location of the leak. He recharged the hvac unit after ensuring that the evaporator & condenser coils were clean and the filters were changed. He measured the temperatures and pressures to ensure proper cooling and efficiencyOur labor rate is $per hour with the time beginning at our shop with a minimum charge of $It took twenty five minutes to get to *** *** *** *** from our shop so the time charged checks out with one and one half hours the technician turned in and was paid for. The customer said that the hvac unit was not cooling of which is a sign of a low charge of refrigerantWe did not charge for the dye or for any filters. The invoice is correct for what the technician turned inOur technician has either turned in a report of which is unusual or the customer is trying to get out of paying for the serviceThe technician is not employed so I have no way of checking this out with him. As for the finance charges this is self explanatory and needs no response. Concerning the bathroom I have no knowledge of and have no answer for this I have given this considerable thought and have concluded that since I failed to return Mrs***s call so that we could have resolved this issue in a timely manner that I should just cancel this charge altogether. I do not want Mrs***’s money even though I have been out the expense. I hope this will resolve the issueSincerely, Buford Heating & Air Conditioning *** ***
