Review: 1. The company promised a free assessment of any pest infestation problem on their website. Our problem had to do with rats in crawlspace of home.
2. When the representative came to home, he looked at crawlspace vents from outside perimeter, and placed rat bait-bars inside crawlspace.
3. After that service, representative presented a bill for two items:
$200 for "mice and rat removal" and $200 for "close up crawlspace or attic".
4. We made payment on that day (Nov. 13, 2013) in good faith that the rats would be removed after having been killed by bait, and that the crawlspace had been sealed. Upon the representatives departure, we inspected a number of deficient crawlspace vent's and discovered that they had not been secured from rodent entry as promised. We made multiple calls to the representative and his associates* requesting they complete the promised service.
5. On Nov. 20, a Serv-Pro technician was sent by Bugs-B-Gone to remove any rats and inspect vents. One carcass was removed, but at least one deceased rat was not, based on the smell issuing out of vents.
6. No further work was done, even though multiple phone calls were made to the representatives [redacted] and [redacted] These calls were unanswered. [redacted] had told me that there was a 30-day guarantee for the service, which expires 12/13/13.
*PLEASE NOTE that the web-listed business, [redacted] for which the company number was provided to us, has a fictitious address of [redacted] I-5). They are also affiliated somehow with [redacted] in Medford, OR at [redacted] Medford, OR 97501 (phone XXX-XXX-XXXX)Desired Settlement: First, a refund of the $200 charged for "close up crawlspace vents" as this work was never done, and needs to occur to present future infestation.
Secondly, a partial refund of the $200 charged for a one-time service that included bait placement, but did not complete "rat removal".
