BUIK-GMC OF MAHWAH Reviews (1)

Review: ON FEB. 28TH 2012 I PAID CASH FOR TWO ITEMS AT THIS DEALERSHIP'S PARTS DEPT. THE FIRST ITEM WAS A BUICK LUBRICANT THAT I TOOK WITH ME. THE SECOND ITEM, A VALET KEY, HAD TO BE ORDERED.I WENT TO PICK UP MY KEY AND WAS TOLD I COULD NOT HAVE IT WITHOUT THE RECEIPT. THEY HAD NO SYSTEM FOR LOCATING IT BITH MY NAME, PHONE OR ANY OTHER TYPICAL MEANS. I LEFT RATHER DEJECTED. I MADE OTHER ATTEMPTS AND I MET WITH THE SAME OBSTINANCE.IT WASN'T UNTIL YESTERDAY AFTERNOON THAT I MANAGED TO LOCATE THE ORIGINAL INVOICE- NO. 4556 PNR. I PROMPTLY PHONED TRHE DEALERSHIP AROUND 4 P.M. AND ULTIMATELY SPOKE WITH AN INDIVIDUAL NAMED [redacted]. HE REFUSED TO HONOR MY REQUEST, CLAIMING THAT I WAS DEMANDING A FREE KEY, AS HE HAD NO PROOF THAT I HADN'T PICKED IT UP. I HAVE BEEN QUITE BUSY WITH A GREAT DEAL OF OTHEER [redacted]ERS IN THE INTERIM, AND AS I MENTIONED FROM THE OUTSET, HAD BEEN UNABLE TO LOCATE THE OROGONAL RECEIPT. [redacted] WAS MOST DISCOURTEOUS, UNHELPFUL, AND UNCOOPERATIVE, ESSENTIALLY CALLING ME A LIAR. EVEYONE I ENCOUNTERED AT THIS DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN SIMILARLY UNPLEASANT. I HAD NEVER DONE ANYTHING WITH THIS DEALERSHIP AS FAR AS SERVICING MY BUICK AS I WAS MOST DISPLEAESD WITH THEIR ATTITUDE AND THEIR TREATMENT. I DEALT WITH ANOTHER DEALERSHIP, IN ROCKLAND COUNTY, PREFERING THEIR BUSINESSLIKE MANEER AND PROFESSIONALISM. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE THAT MAHWAH HAD REFUSED, SINCE MY INITIAL ATTEMPT TO CLAIM WHAT I HAD PAID FOR, TO ASSIST IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM TO GIVE ME WHAT I WAS ENTITLED TO. I DIDN'T APPRECIATE [redacted] REPEATEDLY STONEWALLING ME THAT ITS TWO YEARS, AND THAT THE ORIGINAL SALES CLERK IS NO LONGER WITH THEM. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN EXCUSES, ARGUMENTS, RATIONALIZATIONS FROM THIS NON-COMPLIANT BUNCH OF THIEVES. I STILL HAVE SOME PAERTS AT THE ROCKLAND PARTS DEPARTMENT AND THEY ARE HONORING MY CLAIM TO THOSE PARTS, DESPITE ANY TIME LAPSE. I INTEND TO INFORM THE BUICK ZONE OFFICE, AS WELL, AS TO MY UTTER DISSATISFACTION WITH THIS MISERABLE GROUP OF HIGHWAY ROBBERS. I HOPE YOU MAY BE ABLE TO ASSIST ME SOMEHOW.Desired Settlement: I WANT THE PURCHASE PRICE OF 29 DOLLARS AND 82 CENTS PLUS TAX REFUNDED TO ME. I GAVE THEM CASH IN GOOD FAITH AND THEY HAVE NOT ACTED IN GOOD FAITH FROM THE GET GO.THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION AND PROMPTEST ATTENTION TO THIS ABUSE, AND SHAMEFUL DISPLAY OF UNBUSINESSLIKE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL TREATMENT.

Response:

To whom it may concern: We have received the complaint regarding the $29.82 item (valet key blank) which was paid for 2 years and 3 months ago yet not picked up as of 5/29/14. The customer had not left a call back number so unfortunately we could not contact him with the good news that the item was found shortly after he hung up despite the incredibly long time lapse. We express that we honor his payment and understand the item is his to pick up whenever he choses to do so. We shall have the key here set aside in the customers name. The customer has been contacted and is aware of this. If any further action is necessary or there are there are any questions regarding this [redacted]er you have our full cooperation. Please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank You, [redacted] Cruz Buick- GMC of Mahwah Parts Dept. Manager [redacted] ###-###-####

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:I was contacted by phone by Buick-GMC of Mahwah with regards my complaint last week. It was surreal and bizarre to be told that 'Miracle of Miracles' , Lo and Behold my long missing key, which I had made several attempts to claim in person- which resulted in utter futility, argument, and festering animosity resulting from uncooperative hostility aimed at me each time somehow, amazingly located like some prize in a box of Lucky Charms cereal which is 'magically delicious. The reason I was forced, ultimately, to file a complaint with the Revdex.com was because of the continued obstinacy, recalcitrance, and invective heaped upon me in my attempt to claim only what was rightfully mine, and for which I had paid good hard cash. Having finally unearthed the long missing receipt that this wretched dealership's so called 'service'/parts department demanded I was immediately charged with thievery and demanding a free item, as they had neither proof of my claim, coupled with a continued stonewalling tactic used as an excuse time and again that there was simply no way for them to retrieve my property, or make any attempt whatsoever to search their storage bins, or their computer files, or invoices, or anything for that [redacted]er, in order to amicably resolve this overly protracted dilemma. I was also pointedly told that it had been returned to GM. Therefore, the only conclusion I can glean from this attempted cover-up is that they are out and out fabricators of the truth, who added insult to injury by accusing me of inappropriate action so that they could retain their perceived 'lily-white' reputation as a purveyor of the 'Mr. Goodwrench' branding logo. I think there is a perfidious odor emanating from this dealership, and having witnessed their excesses on a personal basis, from my initial dealing, I immediately decided to take my Buick business elsewhere. The equally lame excuse that was stated regarding NOT having a contact number with which to contact me is utter nonsensical drivel and a subterfuge intended to mask their culpability in this great lie. they must have been really desperate to stoop so low as to, in effect, steal a paltry sum of approximately 30 dollars. They should be ashamed of themselves, although I strongly suspect that they are not, simply because they just don't give a D mn, as there's always another sucker born every minute. Now that the missing article has been so miraculously resurrected and located I have been extended the insincere invitation to come and claim it. I happen to be some 1,200 miles away from their lair and was not offered, what ,in my opinion, might have been a thoughtful and friendly gesture- i.e. sending this small item to me via some trustworthy carrier's conveyance, such as the United States Postal Service, whose motto is 'WE DELIVER', unlike this abominable agglomeration of vultures and bloodsuckers. An apology would also, most assuredly, be in order, and would demonstrate their regret for this maltreatment of a customer. It is glaringly apparent that these dimwits have never heard of the aphorism 'THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT'. Personally, I prefer to always bear in mind the ancient Latin warning when dealing with wheeler-dealers, and flim- flam artistsand hucksters who are only bent on cheating the unsuspecting victims ,who are unfortunate enough to fall into their clutches, and/or have anything to do with these 'highwaymen', or their ilk, in the first place, and that is CAVEAT EMPTOR- LET THE BUYER BEWAREI would not be averse to their returning the key from whence it originated and sending me a check for the total amount plus the appropriate sales tax. that way it would only cost them a postage stamp, rather than a shipping fee. I only want them to help these misguided mns to maintain their bottom line so they don't lose their shirt, and lose the dealership like Joe Heidt did, which gave them carte blanche to take over from that crook. I am lucky that I found more reliable and honest Buick dealerships. Mahwah-GMC WILL NEVER SEE A PENNY OF MY MONEY, EVER
