Build a head customer service nightmare
I received my model with a huge crease and I received it two days before an event I wrote build a head and they needed a picture of the box which I did t have access to at the time I went to a local vendor paid more but got good quality I asked for some kind of reimbursement and all I get is the run around I gave them time to fix it but they are more interested in sending Bot messages then actually working with the customer Do not use this company they have no customer service skills or care about making things right the picture clearly shows that it was bent I also had to google how to assemble no instructions were provided when you watch the you tube video it obviously is packaged different than he way mine was packaged Please buyer beware this is a nightmare
Build a head customer service nightmare

Awful product, terrible service
Purchased 12 of the 18" x 12" heads for our baseball team that is going to a tournament. The product that shipped was less than 11" any way you measured. Asked for a refund or reprint and the customer service has dragged this out so long that we won't be able to have them in time for the tournament. The CSR that we dealt with, Bruce, told us that the hats in the pics caused them to be only printable at that size. That seems somewhat ridiculous given the pictures on the website have people wearing hats.

I'm out $150 with some disappointed kids and pissed off parents. I will do my best to burn this company to the ground with my reviews.

Do not give a dime to this company
All their phone numbers are disconnected. I paid double for expedited delivery. I received poor quality item 5 days after guaranteed delivery date which was after the event. Through much texting and emailing I was promised refund. A month later no refund no response. They are crooks. Do not give them a dime. Plenty of other legitimate businesses with functioning phone numbers offer the same service.

Very poor quality.
I used a Groupon to purchase heads for my grandson's graduation. I paid extra to have them delivered sooner and thankfully they arrived on time. The edges were frayed and his left ear was cut off. I contacted them and they promptly sent a new set. You guessed it, the left ear was cut off and they too were frayed. The cut was very poor quality. They look as if someone used dull scissors and didn't bother to cut inside the lines. Very disappointed.

For the last couple of years build a head has been a part of our families BIG celebrationsHigh school graduations, Our soldiers return from Afghanistan, baby's birthday, baby shower, you name itThen this last order changed it allToday is a very important moment in my daughters lifeIt's not everyday that your only daughter graduates with a Bachelors Degree, it's not every day that this happens to be your only child to graduate from collegeIt's not everyday that she is the only one of our immediate family to graduate with honors But she will be the only one in our family to graduate or celebrate without seeing her head larger than life to find us in the crowd as she walks across that stageWhile I am grateful for the full refund I am deeply disappointed at the lack of communication I received from this companyAlThough my money may only be a drop in the bucket I still feel that I deserve to know why and what happened that my time and money was not worth the effort to fulfill my orderOur tradition is now broken and it took forever for me to even receive an acknowledgementI have recommended this company to several people who marveled at the sight of our family waving our heads at the high school graduation of our son and at the airport when our soldier returned from AfghanistanI just don't want to imagine the look on my daughters face later today as she walks across that stage expecting to see her face just like we surprised the others and it won't be thereI am literally crushed that she will not receive the same reception as my others haveBut even more disappointed that it seems like it didn't matter to this companyUnfortunately it may be the deciding factor of if I will do business with them again Words cannot express my disappointment

This company should do away with their day non-guaranteed shipping optionI feel it is misleading despite the fact that they use the "non-guaranteed" disclaimerPlease know, when you choose this option, you are in fact paying $extra for their standard shipping and will not receive your order within 2-days

My experience was great from ordering to receiving it in the mail. I order it for my son's football games and we've truly enjoy it. I'm very happy with the quality and I'm even more excited that I ordered it.

I placed two orders on the same day. They shipped one. I contacted them to ship the other and they shipped the same one twice. I didnt check until the event. When I found out I had two of the same order, they wouldnt fix it, saying that I waited too long, even though they never processed my order I should at least get my money back

Build-A-Head provides zero customer service when it comes to tracking your shipment and will attempt to blame carrier service when they would have offered to re-ship items (placing shipping cost on customer, which I was willing to do). Save your money and use another group to buy your custom head.
Also, one head arrived bent, and again, Build-A-Head refused to send a new custom head. I would give them negative stars if that was an option.

Build a head markets on their website that they offer $flat rate ground on ALL orders In fact, that is ONLY for their slim heads, yet they advertise this $price directly below the price for their 2' head Upon questioning, they state its a website error yet they do nothing to correct that error I find this deceitful, misleading and false They are waiting for their consumers to spend time placing their order then they slap them with a $shipping fee Questioning them online and sending an email will produce no resolution or correction of the site They continue to intentionally deceive their customers

Just wanted to give a shout out to the team at Build-a-Head who helped me pull off a last minute New Year's event for my business The big head cuts were a huge hit and I will definitely be using them again for future events Thanks!!!

If you ever decide to buy one of the face cutouts and need it within a few days, absolutely DO NOT USE Build-a-Head. I bought a Groupon to get one for $8.99. It says shipping isn't included but I figured it couldn't be much since it's just a picture on a stick so it weighs almost nothing. Boy was I wrong! Today is Saturday & if I wanted it by Wednesday it would be $75 - $100 for shipping! I told them that was a crazy, unaffordable amount & that I would cancel my groupon if I could. I gave them a chance to make things right before I told anyone or made any reviews but all I got was an email from a manager that said the groupon told me shipping was not included. Unfortunately you can't see how ridiculous the rates are until you are planning your order so I had no idea. Apparently I'm far from the only one who has had a bad experience with them, so if you know someone who's thinking of getting these, don't consider this company. HORRIBLE experience with BUILD-A-HEAD The face Cutout company. I was so excited to order a 6 foot tall cardboard cut out of my parents for their 40th wedding anniversary. They decided to have a party, which I was unable to attend due to being overseas at the time, but thought it would be fun to surprise them with a picture of the two of them from their wedding. I placed the order, and paid EXTRA for same day shipping. I also paid EXTRA for 2-3 day shipping. Upon checking my order each day, it kept saying "Processing". I emailed the company, and no response the next day. I wanted to make sure it was actually shipped the same day, due to paying extra for this. After reading Q&A on their site, it made it sound like they do not update shipping status all the time, and that same day shipping means same day shipping. The next day when it still said processing, I decided to try to contact the company again. This time, the live chat came up, and I was informed that my order had not shipped yet, and I was asked to verify when I would like my order delivered. Apparently, they had sent me a text message which I did not receive, asking to verify when I would like my package shipped. I still do not understand how paying extra for same day shipping, could mean anything else besides wanting my order to be shipped the same day. Upon questioning why this had happened, the only answer I was getting was that they had to verify when I actually wanted my order. Very frustrating. They offered to refund my same day shipping fee, but I would still have to pay for the 2-3 day shipping, even though it did not get there in 2-3 days since I had first requested my order. They were unable to work with me, and ended up just having to get a full refund. So in the end, my parents did not get their gift, and I still do not understand how "SAME DAY SHIPPING" could mean anything besides wanted it to be shipped that same day. Horrible company, disappointed greatly. Would NOT recommend.

I could not have an experience as bad as I did and not share. Build-A-Head is a shady company. Purchased two of their 3-Pack deals on Groupon and had to get my money back for one because there was no way I was going to deal with Build-A-Head again. First, their website is a hazard to anyone making a purchase and using a credit card. The process was pretty simple until you get to checking out, that's where things get weird. Entered my CC info a few times and the website would stop responding every time, I get that things happen but whats worse is they don't have an actual office where you can talk to someone to get help. Every time I would try to chat with someone online, it would disconnect and I would try again just to have it disconnect again. If you call their "office" you get a voicemail and even if you leave one they will never call you back unless you leave a bad post on FaceBook, then you have some random guy calling and texting your phone at all hours of the night. Haha, [removed]-backwards business practice. So my CC info would not work, they sent me an invoice and said they would have my order shipped out to me regardless since all the trouble. A week goes by, my order still has not shipped. Finally paid their $9 fee and a week later got a response saying my order would be shipped non-guaranteed...haha! The order finally comes and I would have been better off printing these myself, terrible quality. They keep deleting my review but I will keep posting as people need to be aware of this horrible company.

I purchased a $65 Groupon valued at $150 (for a 10 pack).
I had approval from a rep that the photo I intended on using was good.
Upon checkout, I opted the $12 standard ship only to find I was REQUIRED to use next day ship at $160 + $5 photo check fee. I couldn't complete my purchase.
I thought this was a glitch but of course with non existent customer service, I couldn't resolve the issue. I had to get a refund from Groupon. This is akin to a bait & switch deceptive practice.
GO ELSEWHERE, do not use this company.

The most awful customer service. Seriously have not worked with an on line company with worse customer service. Save yourself the frustration and order elsewhere.

This company should do away with their 2 day non-guaranteed shipping option. I feel it is misleading despite the fact that they use the "non-guaranteed" disclaimer. Please know, when you choose this option, you are in fact paying $5 extra for their standard shipping and will not receive your order within 2-3 days.

I am very disappointed with the lack of communication with this company.
Ordered a fathead and head on sticks Saturday...
Paid $59.99 extra for3-day shipping...
They e-mailed me Sunday saying my picture a 5 out of 10~ proceed or give us another picture...
I said proceed....
Charged credit card Monday....
silence...
website said "order Processing" STILL on a Thursday but website says "We rock. We ship next day!"......
Called, e-mailed, called again... no communication.
Finally one e-mail sent Thursday saying "Got it. Your refund will be processed in 72 hours.". NO explanation, no "sorry" , nothing...
WOW~ I would not recommend this business to anyone.

This company is a joke. They have very severe issues with their shipping process and their customer service experience. Put in two separate orders and paid extra to get them delivered on a certain date. The second order, that was placed 3 days after the first, arrived just fine however the first order, never did. They refused to issue a refund due to the 2-3 day shipping, that I paid extra for, is "non guaranteed." Good things there's hundreds of business that do the same thing so find another provider won't be an issue.
