Buildco

I hired Buildco to do a major remodel of my Sun City West home. The job quality was below average and I had to supervise the supervisor during the whole project. The bathroom tile for the shower was installed in the wrong direction and they had to come back and tear it all out and redo it and that delayed the project for weeks. The worst part was the painting of the interior of the home. The quality was very poor and at some point I will have to have someone come in and redo the entire house. Recommendation, find someone else to do your work.

The job with Buildco had numerous problems, including poor workmanship (which we asked and got corrected) and a deadline that was not met. One of the biggest issues was the inability to get an itemized receipt from them. We asked for one and they sent a one liner saying "Bathroom Remodel" with the price. We asked again and they said they didn't give these out. This seems like poor business practice to me, as they can easily misrepresent the amount/cost of work they are doing.

The employees represented the company very well. Communication was responsive and prompt. Contractual agreement was carried out accurately, timely, and fully.

I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again for future projects.

Review: We hired Buildco to install a walk way path to include lighting of this path, in a community that we manage. We have had issues with the lights burning out because they get to hot. The bulbs that were installed get to hot inside of the light fixture. We replaced bulbs and they would blow out not to long later. I had to call this company on several occasions to get them to come out and figure out the issue. I finally received a call and they went out promptly. The rep later called me back relaying his findings. He said that the bulbs were to close to the cover of the fixture. He replaced the bulbs again and said that he would have to talk to his supervisor. He also told me that there were three lights that he couldn't get the cover off to replace the lights. He said it was almost as if they were glued closed. I asked him if it was possible that the cover wouldn't come off because maybe it was because of the heat. He stated that it was possible. He said that what they would probably have to do is replace those three fixtures. Since that call, the lights have not been fixed. I have called this company numerous times leaving a voice mail for the rep I had been dealing with. When he would call me back he would apologize for not returning my calls and state he still had to discuss with his supervisor. After hearing this a few times, I called Buildco to talk to [redacted] I had left many messages for him as well as leaving voice mails. To this day, I have not received a call back from [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would love for [redacted]to return my call and make arrangements to get these lights fixed.

Response:

I have returned the phone call to the management company every time they have called our office within 30 mini. It says phone box full cannot leave a message. I would love for the appropriate contact person to call me back... We have been on site several times to repair lighting system since the install was completed. Not sure what else we can do?
