Builders First Source - Southeast Group

Damage to exterior door jamb during installation. First Builders Source will not repair damage.Exterior door installed January 2015 by Builder's First Source. Invoice date 1/21/15. Invoice #[redacted]. Description on invoice: [redacted] $587.13. Install $75.00 same invoice. Invoice paid in full by contractor. Due to cold temperature, door was not opened until late March 2015. Upon opening, noticed severe crack in jamb from bottom hinge running down to bottom of door jamb up to middle hinge. Contractor informed us at that time to contact Builder's First Source just before moving into home and they would deliver window screens and do any adjustments to doors/windows that were needed. Contacted Builder's First Source 7/27/15 to request window screens and notified Associate [redacted] of damage to door and a small crack in a window. Pictures of both were emailed to him. He responded back with an ok to repair the cracked window but had consulted with others and manager and would not replace the door since it had been installed for so long. [redacted] went on to say that the door had been swung out too far and his installers would not have done any damage. Told [redacted] it was not opened until the end of March, is not the primary door used to enter and exit the rear of the house and I had not reported it sooner since I knew they would be coming to the home to do adjustments at the end of our construction. I also told [redacted] I was not asking for a new door but simply for the jamb that was busted to be repaired. [redacted] continued to say there was nothing he would do to repair the door. I asked to speak to his manager. I was told he was in a meeting. I asked to leave a voice mail. [redacted] told me they didn't have voice mail; he would have his manager call me then he proceeded to hang up on me. Manager has not called back to resolve issue.Desired SettlementSimply want the door jamb replaced. I paid $662.13 plus tax and contractor fee for a new door on a new house that has a busted jamb.
