Actually that's not how the events occurred at all! The TRUTH is we were hired to do an energy inspectionNot a whole home inspectionWe ask all clients to show us the entire home during this inspectionIt is only one hour so if there are any hidden areas you can not assume we will find them all
with out telling usAfter all it is YOUR homeYou know it better than we do! Upon entering the first attic the thing I noticed was the knob and tube wiringI immediately asked about this and was told it was not active and the previous homeowner had "taken care" of it allI assumed he was telling the truthOnly until we really began to get into the work did we notice that in some hidden areas it was still activeThis is a HEALTH AND SAFETY issue! After testing it we informed Jeff it was NOT SAFE to work around for us or for his FAMILYWe did everything we agreed to doIn fact, we gave him an additional $off for the work we did not preform even though it was no fault of oursIn addition, we agreed to come back and finish the work once the wiring was fixed by a electrician with no additional charge! He wrote a check to us for the discounted amount and we left with 80% of the job completedReady to return once the issues was resolved by a licensed professionalTHE TRUTH IS A few days later [Member name removed] found out that it was going to be $10,and he could not afford itThen it became our problemRequesting a $additional refund on top of the $discount we already provided! The reason we have a contract as such is because of people like this99% of the people we work with never have an issue withOur rating and reviews speak for themselvesWe have never been to court or sued and have been in business for yearsIt seems we are being blamed for an issue we had nothing to do with by a very unreasonable person.LIAR!!!!!!!!This person is trying to scam a contractor into fixing his old homeHe KNEW that he had unsafe electric and when questioned about it he indicated that it was "taken care of" IN FACT, I found this post from him on the internet asking about this issue days before we did his project. http:/***If you are going to LIE and entrap contractors you should try and not leave a trail of bread crumbs behind. Knowing that he had knob and tube wiringThis is UNSAFE for the workers in his home and he choose to not disclose this issue even though he knew about it! I had asked him twice about it and he said it was not active BOTH TIMES!!!! Next he made up several lies in regards to his project and only 17% of it being complete which is also untrue as 95% is doneAlso he said I was not at the project which is another lieWe agreed to return for no additional charge once the project was made safeHe can not afford itNow its our fault. IT IS NOT SAFE for any other contractor to do work in this home and he is going to try and put others in a similar positionPLEASE check his other reviews and I'm sure they are going to be the sameRevdex.com protect your contractors

We offered to come back and finish the project for no additional charge he agreed to this in a email After finding out its to expensive now it our fault He does want to fix the problems with his home so we can finish Until then it is NOT SAFE to return Once the electric is made safe then we can talk

I am rejecting this response because [redacted] has not made any attempt to reach a fair settlement.  He has refused to even come to my house to measure the area where work was not performed as quoted to help arrive at a reasonable credit.
