[redacted] is a customer I have dealt with for a number of years and have had pleasant experiences in the past. Ms. [redacted] contacted me regarding some insurance claims issues that she had. I looked it over and discovered there were some things that the adjuster did not give her a proper adjustment....
I spent a couple months going back and forth between her and the insurance company getting her the proper adjustment. We never had a written agreement because we trusted each other. She gave me money in good faith because I had concerns that after my work to get the proper adjustment for her that she would try to use someone else. I also spent time getting and showing her samples. She then began to not respond to my communications and a month later said that she had used a different company for the roof. I don't think that it is fair to me to spend all that time getting her the proper adjustment from her insurance company, she receives the money and then turns around and uses a different company. She insisted on not removing the old shingles and I checked with the supplier to make sure warranty would still be good and I checked with the city she lives in and made sure that it would be okay to do it the way she wanted. I have a folder about 1.5 inches thick of paperwork for this customer. I do not feel that she is entitled to any refund. I got her the money she deserved from her insurance company and spent two months working on this.
