California & Inland Empire Counties *** ** *** *** *** ** *** Mr*** and Mrs*** *** *** * *** *** ** *** ** *** Revdex.com Complaint No.: *** My Client: Built By Design Cabinets, Inc. Customers: *** and *** *** Dear Ms***, Mr*** and Mrs***: My client, Built By Design Cabinets, Inc., (“BBDC”) forwarded the complaint made by Mr*** *** to the Revdex.com (“Revdex.com”) for investigation and response. The purpose of this letter to provide a response and resolution to Mr***’s complaint. This matter was forwarded to my attention because of the mischaracterizations made in Mr***’s complaint with the Revdex.com. The complaint forwarded by Revdex.com to BBDC was as follows: “Complaint Involves: Contract Disputes Customer’s Statement of the Problem: Back in November 2017, we signed a contract with Built By Design with *** *** who is an official representative of the companyOn January we called to verify with *** if we are still on scheduleWe found out that *** no longer works for the company and he warned us that we might get stiffed by Built By DesignsWe then proceeded to call the company directly and got a hold of *** *** who apparently was part ownerHe assured us that he would follow through with the buildAfter repeated attempts to get a firm start date, we still don't have a firm start date and we are overdue by at least a monthWe already paid them $and $in financingComplaint Background: Purchase Date: 11/13/Name of Salesperson: *** *** Desired Settlement: Finish the Job I want Kaleb to stick to his word and stop stringing us along and finish the work.” The complaint made by Mr*** contains a number of incorrect statements. To begin with, Mr*** entered into a contract with BBDC on November 31, and not November 13, 2017. A copy of the contract is attached to this correspondence as Exhibit A. The contract included a number of open ended design questions that have been the cause for the delay. The open-ended design questions included the type and color of flooring as well as the placement of the stove. Mrand Mrs***’s preferred location and design for the stove caused concern for BBDC for two reasons; the design was not esthetic, and the design was not in accordance with building code and current building standards. Several representatives from BBDC have been in contact with Mrand Mrs*** about resolving these issues and preparing a design plan for custom built cabinets that met Mrand Mrs***’s expectations and standards. *** *** met with Mrand Mrs*** in December to do initial measurements. Mr*** raised concerns to his managers about the stove location. Another measurement was done on January 11, 2018, by *** ***. After this meeting the Mrand Mrs*** and BBDC continued to disagree about the location of the stove. Finally, on January 31, 2018, another measurement was done by *** ***. After this meeting, both parties agreed on a plan for the stove and final plans were drawn. A copy of these final plans is attached as Exhibit B. Between November 31, 2017, and February 5, 2018, BBDC was in touch and communicating with Mrand Mrs***. I have attached as Exhibit C copies of the text messages between Mrs*** and BBDC. These text messages date from January 1, 2018, through February 5, 2018. Mr*** made his complaint with Revdex.com on Sunday February 4, 2018. However, on Saturday, February 3, 2018, Mrs*** finalized her decision on the flooringLater in the day on February 3, 2018, Mrs*** asked for a start date for the project. BBDC told her: “We got the door order in on Friday but we do not yet have the ship date for those cabinets around the stove. We should have that date Monday. [*** ***] doesn’t want to set a date until we know [when] those cabinets will be here and that makes sense to me as well. So I’ll have the start date Monday afternoon.” On Monday, February 5, 2018, after a text from Mrs*** inquiring as to the start date, BBDC provided a start date of February 26, 2018. Mr***’s February 4, 2018, complaint to the Revdex.com states: “After repeated attempts to get a firm start date, we still don't have a firm start date and we are overdue by at least a month.” This is a mischaracterization of the issues and the ongoing conversations that were occurring between Mr***, Mrs*** and BBDCBBDC has been in touch with Mrs*** continuously through the entire process. The day before contacting the Revdex.com (February 4, 2018), BBDC stated that a start date would be provided on Monday, February 5, 2018, the next business day. And a start date was provided on Monday, February 5, 2018. Mrand Mrs*** contracted for custom cabinets and doors which have to designed, and fabricated by handThis takes ***e, but BBDC was doing everything to expedite the process once the plans were finalizedThe delays in providing a start date were caused by the issues regarding the stove and a decision on the flooringMrand Mrs*** approved of the design for the stove and cabinets on Wednesday, January 31, They were provided a start date on Monday, February 5, BBDC worked over the weekend to finalize plans, provide detailed specifications to the fabricators who then provided delivery dates. The contract states that work would begin on December 4, and would be completed by January 15, .BBDC did begin work by taking measurements and drafting designsHowever, BBDC was unable to complete the project in the ***e specified within the contractThe reasons for BBDC's inability to complete the project are described aboveBased upon the complaint made by Mr*** to the Revdex.com, it does not appear that Mrand Mrs*** will be satisfied with the communications made by BBDC and the ***eliness of the completion of the projectMr***'s statement that he wants "Kaleb to stick to his word and stop stringing us along and finish the work" is a harsh and unfair criticism given the ***e BBDC spent to achieve a workable solution regarding the placement of the stove and how quickly BBDC was able to get an installation date once the issues were resolved. Since BBDC was unable to complete the project in by the ***e specified in the contract and Mrand Mrs*** are obviously unsatisfied with BBDC's efforts to communicate, the contract is hereby cancelledBBDC will provide a complete refund of all money paid to BBDC for this project including any financing charges Mrand Mrs*** may have incurredBBDC will make sure the financing company is aware of the cancellationThese monies will be refunded within ten (0) days of the date of this correspondenceMrand Mrs*** are free to use the drawings attached to this letter to have another contractor finish their project. Please contact this office if you have any questionsYours,*** ** ***Attorney at Law

For a company that does good quality work, this one has the worst customer serviceThey offer to call back and don't; then they stop answering calls and textsI tried escalating to a manager and was contacted by a lady who again, promised they would address my issues and has failed to deliver
They subcontracted part of the work, which has not been completed yetAlso, as part of the job they were to replace the backsplash in the kitchen; they stained the marble tile I provided and though they have offered to fix it, I'm still waiting for someone to show up
We signed the contract with Built by Design on May 26th and it is now September 27th and the project is not yet completed!
On September 13th I went to the business in person and requested to speak to the owner, which turns out is the lady who had not returned my callsThey reached out to her and she called me while I was at their storeShe apologized and promised I would get the doors, and someone to fix the backsplash th
