They only sent us money when they found out we were going to turn them into our lawyerThe amount we received from them wasn't even the correct amountThey still owe us the rest

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The craftsmanship of the building was never the problem, and I have no idea why it continues to be so with [redacted]. All my wife and I wanted and requested was our refund of our deposit, that's all. The problem we have is when I first made the call to [redacted], he told me before hanging up that the total amount we needed to send him was the $543.23. His website states, (reimbursed upon purchase of unit). When we filed a complaint with the Revdex.com about the deposit not being refunded in a timely manner, my wife advised them she was turning them in to her layer at her employment. After she told them, our check was in the mail the very next day. If we hadn't gone that route, we would still be fighting them on our deposit. It's a shame to go to this extent just to get what they owe us.We recieved what Built-Rite says is the amount they owe us, but I have a problem with the amount. We originally sent the amount listed above on top of the total amount of:$4,910.00 total for building$15.91 sales tax$300.00 deposit$227.31 first months rentfor a total of $5453.22What we recieved was $445.95 for the deposit. We have read the contract in front of me as well as what [redacted] has on his website, and niether says it will take 4 to 6 weeks for depost to be sent back to us. This throws up a red flag for me as the way I see it, he was very quick to take the $543.23 over the phone, but never once mentioned it would take the 4 to 6 weeks to return the deposit once paid in full, so if you take the amount of our payment of:$543.23- $445.95 we recieved in the mail=$ 97.32 we still have not yet recieved!I do not care about the time restraints over the building or what I requested to be fixed, All I want is the remaining amount owed to both my wife and I and that would be it! Once recieving that amount, I will no longer bother the Revdex.com, or [redacted], or the main branch of the company. This company needs to state in their contracts as well as on their website the time involved in both delivery and time of deposit to be recieved once paid in full. This makes me wonder who all else has went through what we have but never caught the time of deposit return in which was never put in the contract.If I recieve the amount still owed, I will drop everything, but until then, this continues!Regards,[redacted]

The first of which we went through was Built-Rite Express, LLC. This is the place where we first called to order the building. I spoke to [redacted]. It was [redacted] that originally took my order over the phone, and YES!!! I did call multiple times about everything and anything that we either needed done, or about the deposite. I never heard from [redacted] over the Deposit until He told me to call the main office in which I was FIRST notified about the 4 to 6 wk waiting period on the deposit.I've said it once already, I'll say it again, [redacted] took the amount of $543.23 by card over the phone in the beginning. This amount was for the deposit, first months rent & the sales tax. This is very old to keep going over, but yes we recieved PART of the $543.23 back, but not the remaining $97.28 from the original amount. We recieved $445.97, BUT NOT the total $543.23. So until I recieve the remaining $97.28 of the original $543.23 THAT WAS TAKEN ORIGINALLY, THEN NO, I will NOT accept the responce!!!!!Regards,[redacted]

In response to [redacted]'s allegations, Mr. [redacted]'s deposit was only $300.00. Mr. [redacted] should have called Rent To Own Rentals for the payoff, as they were the holder of the contract. The $300.00 deposit was applied to Mr. [redacted]’s payoff. Below is breakdown of Mr. [redacted]’s payoff according to provision (f) of his contract:
$4,910.00 Purchase Price - 136.00 Equity earned from 1" monthly payment $4,773.60
+ $334.15 Indiana Sales Tax
$5,107.75
- $300.00 Security Deposit
$4,807.75 Payoff
On July 15, 2015 Check #116 in the sum of $5,253.70 was received from [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] was entitled to a refund of $445.95 for overpayment.
The time frame between when a customer pays off a building and the return of any funds is on average 4 to 6 weeks. During the 4 to 6 weeks, the check as to be honored by the bank. Once the check is honored, a refund check is cut for any overpayment, if there is one. Also; a Transfer of Ownership letter is prepared. The letter and overpayment check where mailed to Mr. [redacted] on August 18, 2015, which was 4 weeks from when his payoff check was received.
In conclusion, Mr. [redacted]'s deposit was applied to his payoff. In a period of four weeks Mr. [redacted]’s payoff check was received, honored by the bank, his refund check was cut and
a letter transferring ownership of the building was sent to him.
