I have been building and installing cabinets for over years and this the first client I have had that has been upset with the productHickory which is the wood species ordered by this client has a wide range of grain and toneThis order was for my Canyon Creek product which I am a local dealer
I have no control over the actual choice of wood going into the productMy factory rep and I did meet with the client and we both did agreed that the sample and the doors order were within factory specificationsBoth the door sample which the client did like and the picture in the brochure had a natural finish which had no stain to itSince the client also had hickory floors with a natural finish, I thought that she was aware of the variety that comes with Hickory when it is finished naturallyI have a signed contract from the client that clearly states that the cabinet doors are to have a Natural finishThe total of my contract with the client is $4,Since I ordered these doors from Canyon Creek which I have paid $2,and cannot returnI would resolve this issue by giving the client the doors for her $2,deposit, if she signs a release stating that I am not responsible for completing the contractI feel that if we have to take this to CCB mediation or to court that I have a sold contract holding the client responsible for what she ordered
