Review: We hired this contractor with the full understanding that the work performed would be completed in a SIX WEEK period. Delays that are beyond control are understandable. We had had enough excuses after FIVE MONTHS, poor workmanship, damage to existing finished interior,never having a plan ,showing up at 3:00pm to perform work and stating he's a late riser are completely unacceptable. There is at least $2,000.00 of work left to do counting repairs and rework of items he considered done. He sent us a threatening email stating he is very good at the lien process if we decided not to make final payment which also included additional invoices for work he considered not part of the contract. I felt it was in our best interest to pay him the full contract amount immediately if he agreed to forget about the additional invoices and get him out of our lives forever. We promptly paid him and now he is stating that he decided not pay any money to his subcontractor and that his subcontractor is going to put a lien on my house for $20,000.00. I have emails and texts from [redacted] stating this that I can provide as proof of his character. He also lied on the application for building permit stating he was only doing minimum work and this would not require an inspection. Major electrical and plumbing work was performed with no inspection, and to my knowledge not performed by a CT LISCENCED PLUMBER OR ELECTRICIAN. I am not aware that the subcontractor has a contractor liscence,pays his employees workmanship comp. by law because none of them can speak English.Desired Settlement: I would like his state contractor liscence revoked, $75.00 per day x 90 days = $6750.00charged for every day past the six week period for purchasing food for four people for lack of a working kitchen,dining room,living room,bathroom.$2000.00 for repairs and finish work that has not been completed. Proof that the subcontractor has been paid in full.
