Incomplete gutter work.
On the 26th of September I signed a contract for new chimney flashing and replacement gutters with Buis Roofing, LLC. I was told they would begin work the following week and they did not show up until mid November. In early December it rained and there were new leaks in the same area. I contacted the company and they said they would come out as soon as they could, They didn't show for 2 weeks and they told me nails from the shingles were backing out of the roof and the rain was coming through those holes. He hammered the nails down and said as he is walking on the roof he was causing more damage. The inside leak is fixed but I showed the roofer where there is a leak between the gutters and flashing in the back of the house. He told me to contact ***. I called Mr. and he explained the roof did not meet the gutter and the rain was going between the gutter and roof. I asked him why is this happening because my old gutters did not do this and it is washing out my flower beds. He said for an additional $350 he would have the roofers put silicone between the gutters and flashing and that would last a year. I said I wasn't paying anymore money, this should have been corrected to begin with. He said he could not answer that. Payment was by check and problem was not noticed until it rained. I paid a total of $2,195.60.
Fix the problem without being charged more money. The problem with the gap between the roof and gutter. Original gutter did not have this problem.
We did the work we were contracted to do. Flash the chimney and replace the gutters. She called us out numerous times after we did our work trying to blame other leaks in her house on us. We told her she had several nail pops and while we were there we would hammer done some of them but that wasn't going to fix her problem. As far as the gutter problem. The water is backing up behind the gutter because her shingles don't have the proper overhang. We explain to her that drippage would solve this problem. The reason she was not having this problem before is because they had added silicone in that space originally. We offered to add the silicone free of charge but if she wanted to do the drip edge which would be a more permanent fix then it would be an extra charge. She has many problems with this roof and is trying to blame us when we were only contracted To do chimney flashing and gutters. That work has been completed

My only complaint is the water going behind the gutters and was told for an additional $350 he would have the roofers put silicone between the gutters. If the contractor is now stating he will add the silicone with no additional charge I agree to have this done.
Buis has not made any attempt of repairs and I had to hire someone else to fix the leaks that resulted from the repairs. I still feel he owes me a full refund. He put gutters on knowing it was inaugurate because there was not enough overhang from the shingles. This was not told to me until after the gutters were installed. FULL REFUND $2,195.60
So since your roof was installed incorrectly by another company you now want a full refund from me because we did the job we were supposed to do. We did everything that was contracted on our estimate. You contracted us for chimney flashing and Gutters, we did those items and also did other items just to help you out. When you called us out you told us the items that you wanted done and we gave you an estimate for those items. The work was done the way it was supposed to be done so just because you still have an issue that is not on us. Your complaint should be with the original person you hired to do your roof .
