[redacted], had requested to install rear rotors (used) and front brake pads(New) and front rotors (used) which he had for provided for his vehicle. [redacted] was informed...
that the rotors are used, they are not Brand New, they may cause future problems as in pulsation while applying brake and due to the condition of the rotors and may cause abnormal wear and tear on the pads, in some cases squealing may occur due to corrosion on the used rotors provided by [redacted]. [redacted] had acknowledged above mention things and still had requested to proceed with the used rotors for the Front and the rear, Only upon his approval I had performed the job other wise I don't work in such manner. But additionally he asked me to order rear brake pads , he didn't have Rear brake pads only rear (used) brake rotors. [redacted] also additionally requested to perform a Oil change service. When performing the oil change and inspection under the vehicle [redacted] was informed the Vehicle oil pan gasket is leaking. He agreed to have the Oil Pan gasket replaced to eliminate the Oil Leaking issue. Following are the charges: 1. Brand New , High quality Rear brake pads ( provided by us). $100.002. Front and rear rotor installation labor ( used rotors provided by [redacted]) Front Brake pads Installation ( Pads provided by [redacted]). $150.3. Full synthetic oil change $60.4. Oil Pan gasket replacement service $150.Total is $460 Plus tax $39.68 total is : $499.68, [redacted] had paid with his Credit Card.On June [redacted] 2017, ( Job #2 Performed) [redacted], had came back after two weeks complaining the brakes are squealing and is not going away. I had informed [redacted], on [redacted] of May , the used rotors he is installing which had corrosion on the Front and Rear rotors, are the cause of the Squealing. [redacted] had asked to replace all Brake pads front and rear, and replace front and rear Rotors. I had ordered New Brake rotors for front and back and New Brake Pads for the Front and Rear, even though last time his first initial visit on May [redacted] 2017, I had ordered (High quality ) New rear brake pads for him, because he didn't have it. The only reason I replaced the rear brake pads again just to make sure the customer doesn't experience any issues. Plus the previous rear rotors were not in good shape, lots of corrosion present. We had replaced the vehicle with High Quality Front and Rear Brake pads and High quality Front and Rear rotors. Following are the charges: 1. Front Rotors and brake pads Parts & Labor $295.002. Rear Brakes pad Installed at no charge. 3. Rear Rotors parts & Labor $ 175.00.Total is $410. Plus tax is $40.54 total is $ 510.54. [redacted] paid with a credit card.[redacted] also made a allegation I had gone joy riding in his vehicle to show my friends, which is false and not the case at all. I have a business to run and maintain, I had gone for a test drive just to make sure the brakes are performing well and also vehicle stopping without any issues. At the time of the Test drive there was no signs of squeals or abnormal wear or behavior. As stated on the Sales receipt on the bottom of the receipt we test drive all vehicles after all work performed, he had acknowledged and signed prior to the services rendered.
