On Jan 8, (Mr***) called my company, The Houston area had server thunder storms on and off for the last four monthsI happen to be working in the area doing other roof repairsWhen I got to (Mr ***) town home, there was water damage from the third flood down to the first floorI went
to the attic and there were at least five places where the roof was leaking into the homeI went on his "three story roof", I needed a foot ladder in order to even access the roof in order to stand up a 40ft ladder, it requires 2-persons.I found an improperly installed roofing shingles, pipe boots, furnace vent stacks, ECTI told Mr*** in order to completely fix his roofing issues he needs to replace his entire roof. He stated he did not have the money to replace his roof at the timeI quoted him around $to try and fix some of the areas, again he stated he had no money and asked if I could help him out.My company has a $min for three story roof repairs, because it requires multiple personnel to stand up a ft extension ladder. We did the following, replaced pipe boots, removed sqof yrroofing shingles and re-installed, repaired 75ft of step flashing, removed tar covered roofing shingles in ten different areas. It rained a few days (inches at least) (Mr ***) called to say that the roof leaked, I went right over there and found a new roof leak on the rear side of the roof, where a step roof meets the low sloped roofThe roof had been installed wrongThere was no ice shield or metal flashing at the (transition point) between two slopesAt that point I told him he needed to replace roof in that area, again he (Mr ***) stated he had no money to replace his roofHe asked what I could I do to buy him some more time, every idea I came up with he (Mr ***) would say the same thing ( he had no money to spend).I have been back to his home more than five times(Mr ***) needs to replace his entire roof or the leaks will never stop
