Tell us why herehttp://fox8.com/2017/03/08/live-blog-heavy-winds-causing-downed-trees-road-c... pictures were taken before we came back to make additional repairs to your chimney You, [redacted] *, are the one making claims. You are blaming the lost or torn shingles on work that we completed in the second half of 2015.Your original phone call to Century Chimney was on March 9th, 2017, to report your roof was damaged after the wind storm from the previous day Please click the above links, or cut and paste into your browser, for the reminder of the weather on the previous day, March 8th "Tropical Storm" force winds, damaging property and leaving 50,homes without power was reported from every news agency I have contacted roofers regarding the storm, and not one of them had less than calls for roof repair/replacement estimates the next day.Attempting to make us pay for an "Act of God", because we performed work for you months short of two years ago, is unethical Century Chimney is fully insured for general liability, auto, and covered by workers compensation We are in full compliance with the law, and your statements that we either don't have insurance or are afraid of losing it because we have too many claims is libel (a published statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation) I have called my attorney If you continue with this endeavor, or publish any other statements about our company or employees, I will be filing a lawsuit for damagesGary S*Century Chimney Inc

Tell us why here...*** ** :You are contacting us two years after we performed work for you, to let us know that an intense wind storm blew shingles off of your roof (your words, and we have the date recorded Your roof was in severe disrepair when we visited you years ago, and we cannot accept that a wind storm two years later (strong enough to cause power outages and close schools) is not the reason for your further damages It is (and was) past time for you to replace your roof An "Act of God" is covered by insurance companies, although your roof has been failing since we first met, so they may deny you We will never put ourselves in harms way on your old, deteriorated roof Your documentation validates that we came back after some rain made some imperfections in the crown we made for you, and recrowned the chimney Your leak, it seems, comes from your deteriorating roof that looses shingles when strong winds blow I imagine you will find your leak stops after your roof is replaced, as we have not heard from you about any leaks until your very old, deteriorated shingles were blown off in the recent wind storm Dates of our conversations have been recorded, as was the weather on the day that your shingles blew off. Sincerely,Gary S***, Century Chimney Inc

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Century's claim that this work was done "years ago" is false. It wasn't two years ago when I first made this complaint, it still isn't two years ago, and it will be many more month before it is two years. Their claim that my roof is in disrepair is also and I'm submitting a picture of the roof today to show that it's in great condition, it was then and it is still now except for the damage caused by Century when they applied a wet product minutes before a rainstorm, and later damaged it further when they came back to try to fix their errors and try to remove the product from my roof by scrubbing my chimney and shingles, knocking off shingles from the area where they'd damaged and scrubbed. During the storm in March of this year, no shingles other than the ones that were supposedly fixed by Century came loose. Only the ones they damaged came off the roof because they improperly re-installed themCentury made no mention of the roof being in disrepair at all, until I filed this claim with the Revdex.com. They in fact made an appointment on March 15,to go back on the roof and check the leak. They did not show up for the appointment because the day after I made the appointment the shingles came off and I called to inform that the work they'd done on the shingles was not effective and because I was concerned about them causing additional damage, I called their office the day of the appointment March 15, and told them they would have to bring a copy of their insurance proof. So it is beginning to seem that they either don't have insurance or are concerned that their company will cancel them because of claim frequency from their customersI'm including photos of the damage they did

Here are some of the text conversations with Century Chimney

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I'm not sure why you are requesting this after your hostile and rude responses, and after you completely ignored our last appointment, plus publicly made false statements about what happened and the condition of my property. I want a copy of your certificate of insurance before I will allow anyone from your company on my roof at this point because I'm worried you will cause further damage. If your are not willing to prove that you have insurance we have a problem with going forward.  If I have to go another route to get in touch with your insurance company I will.
Regards,
