Here is some background to this situation:Our busiest time of the year is during the summer when we sell many thousands of football preview guides from dozens of publishers. The guides are separately delivered on over twenty different dates but our customers want their copy as soon as it becomes available. Depending on the timing of an order, we may not have a guide in stock yet or may have sold out and need to reorder.In Mr. [redacted]'s case, he ordered a popular item in July before we had the Marc Lawrence Black Book in stock. We had to place his order on hold while we were waiting for a reorder shipment to arrive. Based on the publisher's ETA for the shipment, we set up Mr. [redacted]'s receipt with a mailing label on August 3. Unfortunately, the magazines did not arrive for another several days. Additionally, the publisher unexpectedly sent the Black Book without the expected 3 hole punch which delayed his shipment for a few more days while we had them punched them locally. The package was finally shipped August 11 and delivered to the customer's location August 13 (see attached).inmatemags.com apologizes for the inconvenience to the customer and for not providing more up-to date information about the order. Our customer service reps depend on our computer tracking system for information and communication on this order was not properly handled by our shipping department. We appreciate Mr. [redacted]'s concern and we are addressing this shortcoming for future transactions. For his trouble, we would like to offer a $25 voucher to Mr. [redacted] that he may use at inmatemags.com for any future purchases at our website.
