I am rejecting this response because: As I read the code, the max charge should have been a maximum charge of $150.The car was in storage for less than hours so per the ordinance their should not have been a storage feeIn their response, he did not address the details of the complaintHe only stated the reason why the car was towed and impoundedHe also fail to mention that they kept us waiting for hours after being called before we took possession of the carIf necessary, I will pursue a legal remedy
46.2-Limitation on charges for towing and storage of certain vehicles

[redacted]s son was found passed out in the driver's side seat of his 2001 [redacted] on Nov 20 2016 at approximately 2:15am by our impound agent who was checking for a parking pass as the spot he had chosen to pass out in was a reserved spot and he did not have a pass. The agent notified the Harrisonburg Police Dept. immediately and they responded to the scene to find the occupant severely intoxicated. He was charged with public swearing and intoxication. His vehicle was redeemed on Nov 21 2016 which incurred 1 day of storage. Upon releasing the vehicle to registered owner and his parents [redacted]s son ran out of gas at which time we towed his vehicle to the nearest gas station that was approximately 5 miles away at NO CHARGE. Yes, there was a AFTER HOURS release fee assessed as the vehicle was picked up by the owner outside of normal business hours, which is a standard in the industry.
